  • a random question, how often do builders want cups of tea?

i don't drink it myself, and never know if they want to be left to get on with it, or would want a cuppa every hour, every couple hours or what... lol

Constantly would be my answer to this, I reckon I went through what would be 3 months of tbags for me in 3 weeks !..in the end I told them where everything was including the biccie barrel and told them to help themselves whenever they wanted !

it's all about having respect for your customers home, we have been invite there to do a job of work, in the same way that a good trade cleans up & leaves the house in the way that it was found, it's just not repectable to your customer to do that in their home IMO.

I agree, I always leave the customers home clean and tidy (in some cases tidier than before!), but bodily functions are only natural so if you are 'allowed' a wee, what's wrong with a no 2? Waste of time to drive around looking for an alternative toilet - there might not be any for miles!

Plus, putting it bluntly - what if its time of the month? I'd never get any work done as I'd be out searching for a loo the whole time?

Respect, yes, but I've never had a customer not allow me to use their loo

    Fluff
  • I was told by the boyfriend that the client most likely to guarantee her builders on site and raring to go first thing in the morning was the one who would start each day with egg and bacon banjo sarnies for all.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
