The mother would leave a 5 and 7 year old on their own, I called the police but nothing was ever done. Ridiculous. And they were in a council house.
There was nothing we could do about it other than make sure that if there was anything that could be nicked it did not get left out.
It's a different argument but has to be added, this sort of behaviour, by a minority I might add usually only happens on a council estate..
I hope it doesn't come over snobbish on my part, but where you have families that have nothing and therefore think they have nothing to lose, they do infringe on decent neighbours.
Yes it happens in private properties where the new money land up next to villagers but is rare, and the locals will ebough money and the contacts to sort the "infringement".I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

You'd not really class this a council estate anymore to be fair, it is a leafy suburb where the majority of the houses had been bought on RTB and all had extensions ect... - there were just a handful left under the council.
I think it happens anywhere to be honest, just that if someone is a council tenant you'd think there would be more leverage to get them out if they were making the neighbours lives a misery. They used to wind the old guy up over the road by kicking balls at his house, I'd be the one giving them a rollicking over it. Parents did not give a crap and the kids just seemed to get away with whatever they wanted.0 -
They are not council tennents.
They are playing football now, he has a friend round & in the past 3 mins both boys have been in my garden twice - it shouldn't take 2 to retrieve 1 ball. But I would look unreasonable if I told them to stay out of my garden.0 -

I absolutely would be telling them to get out of my garden - I used to tell the other kids. Can you not put something there temporarily to fill in the gap???0 -
Or one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/hidden-wire-electrifyable-fence-12m/dp/B004ZQ7XDC/ref=sr_1_13?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1344446510&sr=1-13

Of course you should be telling them to stay out of your garden!! It's totally unreasonable of them to expect to just jump over whenever they feel like it. They're trespassing. It wouldn't happen in my garden, that's for sure! If they want their ball back they can knock and ask for it, politely!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
How would you look unreasonale telling them to stay out of your garden?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
