Oh my word! 75,000 points! He was on a mission!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

i think anyone just buying a paper and then using a points coupon over and over would look suspicious - if he had been really clever he would have put the points on a temporary one and then sold it on fleabay............... not that i do or condone it i might add, i had a tillspit for 500 points scan twice last quarter a cashier error but I never ever use self scan tills in tescos.coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0

Surely the thread title should read:
**a Warning For People Abusing Tesco Vouchers!**
People here legitimately boosting their points totals by shopping on certain days to trigger till spits, grabbing & using instore points leaflets, & making use of online codes have nothing to worry about.0 -
Do you think he used the 'win a 1000 points' voucher? - the one which gave you 1000 points.
I am guessing he kept scanning the same voucher and didn't put it into the Self Scan slot.

Well is what we do with the h&b/quit and 50 pointers wrong??? Cause it is goods for nothing - I know we go through the tills and the tills take them(most of the time) but do you think its wrong???
Also having more than one account to get lots of vouchers through the post or buying other peoples vouchers - could this be classed as wrong???
I sure i am repeating what others have said ... but ...
There is using the Tescolditz system to it's zenith ... combining/doubling up etc ... then there is plainly jumping up and down on it and expecting to come up smelling of roses ....
Like Coupon-mad I only use genuine coupons that Tesco can reclaim ... I only shop at one Tesco ... I do not wish to be hauled up before Customer Skirmishes for abusing the coupon policy .... That said today I paid 24p for £16's worth of shopping .... I am happy as long as they are willing to accept them to take the  of the shoppers behind .... but I would not shoot myself in the foot for a bottle of Herbal Essences .... :rotfl:
If you stay within the boardest of the lines ... me don't think you'll end up in the Sun ....
Also I am disappointed in the Sun ... wouldn't ...
Cunning Couponing Copper Caught in Clubcard Con .... :rotfl:
... have been a little snappier ?LittleBill ... "The riches of a man can be measured by what he can do without"0 -
A bit 'Off - topic' but it looks like all the experienced 'couponers' are on this thread....I've been sent a £5 nivea voucher - would the sa let me just buy the cheapest nivea product taking the rest off the shopping or would I need to buy £5 worth of only 'NIVEA' products??
Is the rule - as long as you buy any nivea product it will take the rest of the money off my shopping at Tesco etc???0 -

If the barcode is 13 digits long, starts with '99' and the last 3 numbers (ingnoring the very last number) are 500, then it should scan ok and take £5 off your bill without you buying any Nivea.
Hope that makes sense - took me a while to get my head round it! lol

Sorry didn't really think about it too much, just put what first sprung to mind! I'm not insinuating that everyone who uses coupons is wrong and shouldn't do it. I just saw the article in the sun and thought I'd share it, more as a talking point than a personal opinion. And I agree with you on the second point you made too!0 -
wonder how many people will read the sun article and have a go at re-scanning a points coupon on the self-scan(!)0

How stupid can one person be. There's one thing being an avid points collector and making the most of the vouchers available and then there's just total greed. He deserved to be made an example of really0
