Well is what we do with the h&b/quit and 50 pointers wrong??? Cause it is goods for nothing - I know we go through the tills and the tills take them(most of the time) but do you think its wrong???
Also having more than one account to get lots of vouchers through the post or buying other peoples vouchers - could this be classed as wrong???

  • what an idiot!

scanning a coupon repeatedly and not putting it in teh slot (putting in another or a piece of paper eg) is cheating and stealing.

i always use the tills, last time i had a few coupons (from my mailign plus all teh club mailings and a couple of till spits) teh lady on eth checkout chucled and said 'clever girl, theyve all gone through' which made me laugh!

i always use coupons that are in date, always use a checkout and alswyas buy teh product on teh extra points coupons and never use adsa specific ones in tesco eg. and i dont go round tesco car park picking up other peoples unreddmed points and adding themt o my card.

in asda their guidelines are 10% off a shop so my lower-valuse coupons are arranged into £1's and i hand over as many as im entitled to.

being clever with coupons is fine but ripping off retailers is stealing imo.

  • I've heard of people putting plain paper in the self-scanners too.

Although in my store even if I scan a points voucher on the self-scanner it still has to be authorised so I am not sure how he managed it.

I wonder if the unpaid work/Community Service he has got to do would involve picking up litter anywhere?
If he did it anywhere near a Tesco store,I wonder if he'd be tempted to do a bit of Wombling !!?? :rotfl:

Well, as he got done for "going equipped to cheat" maybe tesco could argue the H&B thing as this, but we actually have the tokens and I personally never use out of date vouchers. Personally I only ever use about 2 vouchers so I do still pay for my toiletries its just generally about £1 for 6 items. I suppose it depends on the person and how moral (is that the right word?) they are. As for selling vouchers I do this too, although my last very big lot went very cheap so now I can't be bothered and will be offering them to others on here. Can't say I see it as wrong, although it usually states not to be sold on them somewhere, I'd never buy them I think it's barmy people do. As for people buying clothes using vouchers and then taking them back IMO they are stealing and I don't think it's right. I think the copper getting done could maybe be tesco highlighting the fact they can and do prosecute people who take things too far! Sorry to ramble on! :o

Im an avid coupon user, but i wouldnt and dont use self scan, and i only use indate and valid coupons,(i doint use somerfield ones now i know they cant redeem them, but i do use asda ones as thier policy at my Mr T's is to take them. I have bought clothes on coupons and taken them back when they havent fitted, and they have been more than willing to refund if i cant find anything else. IMO that isnt stealing as Tesco are happy for you to have a refund. I like coupon_mad would be mortified if i had to pay a full price for a shop now ;) i just dont think its worth it especailly being on a budget i can make my money go further and buy better things with coupons :) I also have more money for bills!
