Beemuzed- DD uses a product from Avon on DGD's hair. It is really curly, and this works a treat.
RedRuby sorry to hear about your ex, and your dad.
I am so tired today, had a nap for an hour and a half this afternoon. I think the weekend has caught up with me. I didn't walk a lot on Saturday, OH pushed me in my chair, but I did yesterday.
Just watched Hairy Bikers diet show, and ordered the book for inspiration!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Hi.
Usual manic weekend and we're supposed to be on holiday this week. Today we started our 'holiday' by the Rev having a hospital appointment and while in the hosp. being rushed off to one of the wards to pray over a dying patient. The family aren't in the least bit religious but when faced with a loved one dying suddenly wanted the comfort of a vicar and prayer. It often happens like that, and fortunately there was the Rev about to have her shoulder injected and right on the spot.
Had a lovely look round my favourite store and picked up a couple of things at half price. Don't buy anything these days unless the price is slashed!
Not a lot of OS going on this week but I'll sneak the odd bit of efficiency in where I can. Hoping to make a start on turning out and re-organising the freezer sometime. It is absolutely crammed with goodness knows what and all the drawers seem to have got themselves mixed up. It's bin day tomorrow so a chance to have a quick de-clutter.
Better go and make a start.
Camelot: you are an :A Two bagpipes at one time? I always thought that the way to get two pipers playing in perfect harmony was to shoot one. I guess I'm just not the right nationality.
LW: Are you a masochist or something? Moving if you don't absolutely have to is utter madness. Think of all the expensive hoops you have to jump through - estate agents, solicitors, energy efficiency certificates, insurances, stamp duty, removals etc.etc. Not to mention people changing their minds at the last minute.
Of course, if you really hate where you are go for it. We will all be here to hold your hand.
Judi: hope your DS is OK.

I picked up the Hairy Biker's diet book in Tesco for around £7 then put it back on the shelf as they had offers on some of my favourite fiction authors and two or er three books somehow found themselves in my basket.
From 500 grams of mince I managed to get two dishes of shepherd's pie and four dishes of spaghetti bolognese which are in the oven with grated cheese on top. One of dds is having gammon slice with beans and egg instead and rest of gammon will make sandwiches and potato bake etc.
Not much YS at Mr S but got some chicken thighs and drumsticks. Two packs are now in freezer and another has been skinned and is poaching - will be cooled and meat taken off the bone later so I will have the cooked meat for pasta bake or curry etc.
Can't think where this burst of energy and enthusiasm has come from - even found myself ironing yesterday

Have you looked on right move every day for bungalows etc?
We only got our house which we love because I looked online every day and we were first to view and make an offer. Could be worth looking at a bungalow advertised to rent and see if they would sell instead. Hope you find what you need and also what you love.

OK - thought I'd share the joke....last week DS cooked pork schnitzels and froze the breadcrumb and parmesan mixture. I thought I'd have a go this evening. All looked wonderful until I took that first bite which tasted very odd..sweet even.
I expect you've worked it out - I'd coated the pork in flour, egg and....crumble mix!!!

Hi Chums had a busy morning with DGS took some bags of knitted stuff to my knitting group and they are fell for my youngest DGS Mikey (he is a bit cute
:))then we went to get DDs shopping as she has a five day-on the-trot week this week so she can have the weekend off .As I was getting the shopping it was a case of what's on the list and nothing else which saved her a bit I think.
Mikey is a funny lad, we were driving along and his conversation went like this
Michael 'Granny you know in Forrest Gump( his favourite movie which he watches at least once a week),when he says life is like a box of choclates ?'
Me 'Yes Michael'
Michael 'Does he mean that fat people, cos they eat a lot of chocolates won't live a long life ?'
I then had to explain that it wasn't that but that some things in life are different, like people, some have soft centre's some hard some nutty and some not
Michael 'Oh that's alright then, I wouldn't want you not to eat chocolates in that case'
I really wonder how his mind works sometimes he is very literal in his thinking:) I like the odd choclate and certainly will never be a skinny thing that I was once upon a time. I am, in his words 'cuddly like a cushion'
:):)
We sat and watched Ice Age 3 this afternoon and I did some knitting.Weathers damp and drizzly at the moment but I managed to get DDs washing dried this morning for her
Right I'm off to put my feet up and have a chocolate and enjoy my cushiony figure:):)
Cheers chums

:rotfl: :rotfl: haha!
I did not feel well this morning, very groggy and big headache. Decided against going to the docs as there is not much they can do for concussion. My colleague picked me up so I didn't have to drive. By 1pm I felt a lot better thankfully.
Busy day in work, recruited 7 new work kids for my next course. I did have 24 names though, so bit disappointed that less than a third turned up! That's teenagers for you!
After work I went for a walk around the lake and industrial estate, I found 3 big blackberries bushes with ripe blackberries on themso munched on them as I walked round. There are loads of bushes with unripe ones so fingers crossed I'll get lots of freebies soon.
OS wise - recycling sorted, had spinach&ricotta tortellini for tea and have 2 portions LO - one for lunch tomorrow and one for freezer.
Have a good evening all

Situation is that the bungalow's really too small - I have nowhere to retreat to if I want some "me" space and Mr LW is watching TV or something, so I end up putting up with his choice of viewing, not being able to (for instance) bung on a Pink Floyd CD if I want while he watches dross, and I'm starting to feel a tad resentful; also, I'd like somewhere to put a 2nd freezer, to make it easier to batch-cook to have HM ready meals, iyswim, for when I'm not well enough to cook - something that's happening more and more lately; there is absolutely nowhere for such a thing, as we don't even have a garage. But the main problem is that Mr LW already had this place when I moved in with him, and try as I might, I can't regard it as my home; I still feel like I'm living in someone else's house.
I dare say it sounds totally daft; and you're probably all laughing at the daft Wolf, but there it is. *shrugs*If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
