Too Hot Curry

Try adding some sugar.
If it is a tomato based curry you could add some Ketchup
Also serve it with the yoghurt, that should cool it down.0 -
have you got any cream?
Adding some little by little will make it cooler for your DSSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Hi mummytoash,
Add some sugar as mentioned above and mix some yoghurt (assuming it's natural yoghurt) into your ds's portion.

Edit: There's an earlier thread with more ideas: Too Hot Curry I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

the only two things i've found that consitently work are both a really good measure of lemon juice, and 2tsp sugar. i had the same problem last week!

i dont have any lemon juice or cream n the yoghurts are fruit flavoured. its tomato based0

Probably too late to help mummytoash but usualy in the indian homes meals are balanced, hot spicy food is accompanied with cooling side dishes such as salad, raita(yoghurt based) and a sweet all part of the main meal. For a quick cure cream will help as suggested earlier, yoghurt mixed or on the side and have chilled water to help tounge on fire, cucumber is very cooling as well.More0

Mayo? i usually make a side dish of tomato and mayo to go with any hot curry.0

I don't suppose it will matter if its that spicy, if you add a fruit flavoured yoghurt, I've had to do this in the past........0
