Have been frantically trying out everybody's suggestions, which are helping, and eating it in small quantities!!!!New Mantra: I must not visit MSE until after I've completed all my chores!!!!!0 -
I would make more, but leave out the spices. Then add it to the first batch.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

could trying adding a dash of sugar and cream or coconut milk works a treat0

I enjoy a medium hot curry sauce and bought a few in that I love, however its too hot for the children.
They like a bit of curry but not too hot, any ideas for cooling their bit down, so that we can still all have the same.0 -
Hi SL
My DH and I have different tastes, so we make a hot chilli (or curry) and after we've taken mine out, we stir in some plain yoghurt, or some creme fraiche, or some coconut milk to cool it down for him.

Hi ScorpioLady,
I add natural yoghurt or some tinned tomatoes to dilute the heat a bit for our children.

I personally add mayonaise to mine as I like very mild curry - but in the past have also added coconut milk and yoghurt to good effect.0

I'd stir in some cream, creme fraiche or yogurt, whichever you have available.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

the opposite to chilli strangely is sugar, dont ask me how I know but its one of my useless facts. Ive tried it before and it really does work. Dairy will cool it but I would also add some sugar too personally.0
