NO - read what I wrote and what I quoted from you in #44. You are clearly arguing that being disabled will hopefully tip you from a No to a Yes. In other words, you want special treatment including being given the job because an employer takes pity on you because you're disabled. How can you possibly think that?

I wrote it the wrong way around in post 44, sorry for that!!

I do not expect any employer to take pity on me.

If you can't be bothered to proofread for accuracy and end up saying the exact opposite of what you mean (as well as not bothering to read what I wrote in reply), (a) how can you ever hope to get through Finals and (b) you're clearly NOT suited to office work. You don't have the accuracy needed.
I am not stubborn. I am merely correct.
  • One or two threads is hardly hogging a board. I do need help just as much as the next person on here, therefore, I find it strange that you reduce my problem to chit chat.

Shameless - he's in a world of his own and utterly incapable of understanding how others see his behaviour on here. He is the centre of his own universe, and thinks he should be the centre of everyone else's too.

I do proof read other things just not my posts always I admit. I did read what you had put and i thus reexplained what I meant to say. Maybe there is no hope for me to get a job but I have to keep hoping otherwise I will sink into deep negativity.

I am not in my own universe and I know people dislike me here because I am sometimes unhappy and I post a lot. I do not expect to be the centre of anyone's universe. All I seek is to get a job and to feel needed in that sense.

Anyway I have phoned up the HR office and they do not have a disability officer so I have to wait until they ask someone else.

I have told them the form is not really set up for disabled people anyway as the form is too small if you do not write well.
It is a bit of a pain that they don't have a disability officer in the HR bit as it slows it up.

I do just wonder if you were a disabled person with no family or any one to help you with form how you would get on.

I know you can go to the job centre but they will only be able to see you once every week or 2 and so you might miss out on jobs.

It is hard when you are dealing with them with one hand behind your back. I can not come out too much and make an issue of being disabled as then they will think I am too disabled for the job. However, there are problemsthat need addressing.

Okay I AM a disabled person, with no family and no-one to help me. I also have major problems with BOTH of my hands, not just one.

You are making a very big song and dance about being disabled.

The jobs are all available online at the Job Centre website, plus you have access to thousands and thousands of other jobs.

To be truthful if you go on like this with a prospective employer they are highly unlikely to employ you because you cause too much fuss and nonsense. Then you will be complaining that you have been discriminated against, no doubt?

Don't use your disability in this way - it stinks. And that is coming from a disabled person.

You need to wake up and smell the roses and fast.

I agree with you on this one - and I am disabled myself - I cannot be accused of not understanding!

I am not making a big song and dance. I am allowed to ask them how id best to declare it and to say why does your form not have a section on disability?

    What is wrong with that?
