When I was 18 (I'd been in full time work since 16 but fed up of the job), I must have sent about 25 application off all at the same time.
Why bother thinking and humming and harring over it?
Just get as many forms as you can, fill them in, send them off, then sit back and see if anything comes of any of them.
I think I had 4 interviews out of the 25, but STILL didn't get offered anything.
Didn't deter me though....you just try and try again!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

All I can say is you must be fast as it takes me about an evening to do one form and you did 25 at once, wow!!:beer:0 -
I'm beginning to wonder how any of us ever managed to get jobs with all these barriers Phil has shown us we never knew existed! Phil how about a day away from MSE & contacting employers? Did you ever ask for feedback on why you didn't get jobs instead of assuming?0

I got feedback from one who said I did not have the right qualifications and they were looking for someone with business training.
I have been out for 2 hours tonight if that helps:A :beer:0 -

So you have about 8 weeks.
If you want a job you should start applying now.
You have wasted all day long on mse and have got nowhere - literally nowhere - since you were given all this advice and information months and months ago. The advice won't change just because you come back in a few weeks time.
I am 44, I have life experience, work experience.
You haven't got a clue. You have proved that with these 10 pages on mse today.0 -

You could've learnt alot from the billion other threads on the same subjects! You're doing a degree, c'mon you can't be stupid & i'm sure most of us didn't need to start x amount of threads on how to get a job.0

You can read it in a book but to hear it first hand from people gives it a real world reality check.:beer:0 -
