  • Have you all enjoyed your spray of perfume? I didn't, I now smell of kitchen cleaner. I'm not convinced mine was perfume :eek:
I didn't get picked either! I am curious to find out how much you got, and why it was only for a day. Mind you if it smells like kitchen cleaner it's probably just as well you didn't get 100mls!! :0)

Anyone else get an email about testing 1 day worth of perfume? All sounded a bit secretive I hadon't to confirm that I wouldn't discuss the products as per the panel agreement. Dont remember having to do that before.

    just requoting this post.....

remember that this forum is public and whilst its unlikely that you could be traced by givaudan,if you are lucky enough to have been sent this test, please dont share your comments and codes on the products.

many of the product tests do want unbiased and honest answers by yourself not the opinions of others and discussing what you receive may even in a small way have an effect on how you interpret what you have received.

    Not picked either :( ...

Its a shame Givaudan don't have a discussion blog of their own, so people can discuss what they thought. I'm sure that would given them a lot of insight into what people really think of the product they've been asked to trial. Like the Savvy Circle do ... just a thought.

  • I just received mine this morning in case there was anyone else thinking it hadn't arrived. Amazed the questionaire was so short!

Thats an interesting thought...although I think a lot regarding the "no chat" rule has to do with the fact that they are a company involved in the development of the product rather than someone like savvy who are mainly concerned with the promotion of a product.

When the company is developing they do indeed want ideas, but probably your own personal view rather than being influenced by what others may think, hence not having a blog and in some instances testers needing to confirm that they wont talk about a product.

Once the product is launched or about to be launched, all the testing has been completed and its a totally different senario, the companies employ the likes of savvy and others to actively get people talking about their product....sometimes this is generalised as a product test but essentially its spreading thw word.

In essence you are given the opportunity to discuss what you thought about a concept or a product by way of completing the questionaire .....and maybe as such testers should be using this more as it will help to give them feedback.

I believe Givaudan are aware of sites like this and sometimes its difficult to remember that what you post here isnt just seen by a few people but the internet at large.....so with that in mind those who test for givaudan should remember that their participation if asked to be confidential, should remain so.

It is a great site to be involved in and they reward well, and it would be a shame if they felt that they had to scale back things in the uk because their confidentiality was not being respected....so please dont talk about the codes on yout test bottles or what you thought of a fragrance with us...tell givaudan...

After my post at the w/e thanks to all those who deleted or amended their posts to remove codes/thoughts etc.
