this thread just keeps making me smile, have offered an fairly expensive item today, and had three give me your address, i'll collect at such a time, which have promptly been deleted, only to be followed by one re emailing to say how rude i was not replying and he was waiting to set off to get it,
only genuine offers will be considered, sick of nasty selfish people who no doubt want to ebay or sell it. most of the pople are great, but by gum some wind me up.

I just went online the other day asking for an encyclopedia britannica, just any of the set they might have. I have had 2 offers of the complete set! I love good old freecycle.

I'm going to have to post some stuff up soon though.

some people are rude and ungrateful, i always make a big point of thanking (wonder sometimes if i go over the top a bit!!) but i am usually grateful anyways for the item.
As for choosing someone, i wait a while and then pick whoever sounds most in need, but i know a lot just go on a first come first served basis, which i thinkis a little unfair but understandalble if its something they need desperatley out of the way,
If requesting something i always say I'd love this, and give a reason, then sort of end with thanks for reading, no problem if its gone, some i win some i don't.

If I was really naughty I'd offer a plasma tv - plus wall mounting brackets, Welshdeedee :rotfl:- and tell everyone it'd been collected a while later.
