When i was moving into my flat, i got lots of stuff from freecycle, bed frame, microwave, sofa & drawers, plus a few other things. I always collected when suited the person and i was always on time to pick up the stuff, and i always sent a nice thank you email.

Now that im getting on a bit better with my cash and getting new things, i listed the stuff i no longer need on freecycle and its all gone to new homes

In cases like mine, i think freecycle is great

In cases where folk are asking for brand new & expensive stuff, i think the moderators on the site need to get a grip and not let those kind of requests get posted in the first place! They are just complete chancers.

well said kirst, thats the exact idea of freecycle. not the cheeky people who only ever post wanted for expensive items. its nice to know it works like its meant too sometimes.
