As one of the mods of the Preston Freecycle I have spent the week rejecting lots of request for tickets. I email back saying it is against Freecycle rules (tickets cannot go on) but what I feel like saying is "you cheeky s*d how does that help the land fill" But I have to keep calm.

Good to hear that cheeky requests like that were rejected. I wouldn't have a problem in pointing out to them that their requests had nothing to do with recycling / preventing items going into landfill, though, if I were a Mod

I have a HP Deskjet 940c that I collected from a freecycler in
xxxxxxx this afternoon.

It was advertisied it as a HP Laserjet with a completely differnt
model number, but when I got there to collect it, it turns out it was
a deskjet, which isn't much use to me, but someone else I'm sure can
use it. I haven't tested it, but it looks very clean & tidy and has
some cartridges in it and apparently does work fine

Dear me - how incovenient to be offered a common old HP Deskjet printer, instead of a laser printer. Tut Tut Tut - how awful to have your time wasted in that way:rotfl: :rotfl: PS Why did you take it from the freecycler, and not leave it for someone else (who would have been grateful) to collect ???

You can do a search in Yahoo groups to see certain posts e.g. by topic, member etc.
There's a greedy freeloader in one of my groups who has posted 20 thank you's in the past few weeks. Haven't found any 'offered' posts in the past several months in the group archives. Obviously he/she has a good begging technique :rolleyes:
