    so remember the poster who wanted the Brand new Laptop with minimum XP home , oh and you're going to have to deliver it ?

    Well pointed it out to the group owners and the response I got was:

    "Thanks for contacting us

    I quite agree that this post is not in the spirit of freecycle, but at the same time it complies with all the rules I’m afraid so no legitimate reason not to approve it (other than it’s not very polite!)"

    :confused::confused:

    If you tell me the group, I'll post a 'I want Judderman elected as Mod because the one you've got is as much use as a chocolate teapot'

    ........................Absolutely no 'wanted' ads for computers or other expensive items for days now.............

    Since when was a computer "an expensive item" ?
    I live less than a mile from a place where hundreds of them are dumped EVERY MONTH !
    I bought 2 about a year ago.
    Total cost including 2 printers, 2 scanners and a monitor ?
    £10

    Both PCs worked, a Pentium 2 and a P3, 10gig & 20gig discs, 256mb mem in one 512mb in the other.
    1 scanner worked , the other took me 20 minutes to fix.
    1 printer worked the other was not repairable but it did have brand new ink cartridges in it.
    I sold the monitor on ebay for £10

    Does Rather beggar belief doesn't it :confused::confused:

    I replied that the following was taken from the main https://www.freecycle.org website:

    And above all else, don't ask for an extravagant item

    and that I felt by anyone's judgement what this poster was requesting was extravagant :confused:
