See, i'd not have been able to resist emailing him back and saying I didn't think it was fair that he was a greedy T**t and that I wouldn't therefore be including his name in the pick of the hat and ONLY if there was anything left AFTER everyone else had picked up, would I consider offering it to him. (if I felt like it and at MY convenience of course!)

I have just had an experience that has made me feel rather

At weekend I saw an item offered that I have been after for a while and could do with.

The item was offered and I replied quickly and politely saying I'd be grateful to be considered for the item.

Within a few hours got a reply back saying, and I quote, "It's yours".

:j :j I thought and sent another email saying when I could collect, when my pref was ,but that I'd fit in with when it was best for the gifter.

So 48 hours pass and I hear nothing. So last night I send another e-mail asking if they were still happy to let me have it or if they'd changed their mind.

So I today get an email back saying as they hadn't got a reply to their email they assumed I wasn't interested and had now given it to someone else :confused:

    So lets just examin this:

They get my original e-mail saying I'd like to be considered, they get my email from last night asking where I stood, but they didn't get the one in between trying to organise collection :confused::naughty:

Same email addy's used through all communication.

Now I accept anyone can choose to give to anyone they want **BUT** to say to someone "it's yours" and then renege on this - I think is rather poor form :naughty:
