I have used freecycle a few times now. I have got a wine rack, a set of nonstick saucepans and today I got a dinning table and four chairs !! All items were pretty good condition and I collected them as I arranged. I have offered a set of axil stands and they were collected from me in about 1/2 hour. I think it is a FANTASTIC site !!!
Who cares if a few people are asking for a car or a caravan ? LOL

This bloke is polite, gives good information and you take the p1ss, because he can't fix his own washing machine, but wants to give it to someone who could fix it.
For me this is the essance of freecycle.

On our list people often post for broken/non working stuff to use as spares for the stuff they have. We have had wanteds for broken plates, non-working washing machines, non-starting mot-failure motorbikes (and some offered too) and all have them been taken.

i've had broken and chipped plates. weooohooo. wanted them to finish off the mosaic effect around a mirror i also got off freecycle. woman who offered them was amazed i wanted them, lol.
