You need an Actifry, makes good chips with no smell and only a touch of oil, could not be without ours

I have wondered if they were any good. They are quite expensive but will keep a look out for a reduced price one. Thank you. :)

I love home made chips. You can't beat them but unfortunately, like you, I can't stand the smell of the deep fat fryer. Twice now I have craved for them and gone out and bought a fryer, only to throw it away a few months later. Not very MSE I know.

Just use a saucepan then wash it out, I do homemade chips around once every 2 years but I use a saucepan and clean it out as soon as its cooled.

Whilst they are good and the smell of a fatty fryer isn't there, there're chips are no way near deep fried chips. We like ours but you can't best home made deep fried chips in months old dripping.
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Eldest child wnats one of those ipad covers that folds into a triangle so you can read or type on the train with your ipad at an angle - cheapest seen so far is £17 which still seems a lot, anyone spotted anything cheaper anywhere????

That's just reminded my about the O2 £10 off in September (apology for the problems a while back) I'm hoping to put mine towards an iPad case :D

I got one from EBay, maybe not as good quality as the more expensive ones, but it does the job, and is still OK after 8 months.

    HTH:)

We love ours and they are regularly reduced, only problem is DW insists on me only putting 1 spoon in, the kids would like more, but well worth it, as I'm NOT allowed a chip fryer.
