    Morning all!

Bit annoyed! Went to book a stay with the Jury's Inn flash sale, "WOW!" I thought, a room at their Islington hotel (which is really nice) for only £67 a night! I stayed there a few times in 2008 or 2009 when Walkers were doing a 3 night promotion for £180 so bargaintastic!

So I chose the dates (for a 3 night stay) and go to book, where £40 of room tax gets added on!:mad::mad:

WHY do they do that? Why can't they be upfront and include the room tax in the search price?!

£80 a night is still relatively good value but I have stayed at a 4 star Marriot for £85 so it's not THAT good a deal :(:(:(

On the up-side, my lovely new phone arrived this morning and I have managed (with some wrangling) to get changed onto a bonus android tariff on O2 (from a Blackberry one) which applies from midnight tonight! I can't wait!!!

Thinking of heading to the Balloon Fiesta tomorrow or Saturday, shall see how it pans out. My neighbour's have had a balloon flight booked for years and it gets cancelled everytime. The couple that were going with them, the man is scared stiff of heights and because it's gone on so long, he's worked himself up more and more and now decided he can't go. So has offered it to my Mum and Dad. Obviously given the chance mother dearest would prefer to throw my Dad out the basket than spend the flight with him but seen as our neighbour's are going too and she wants the experience, she's gonna go :D And 2 weeks ago the neighbour's got the call to say their next flight opportunity is Saturday morning from the Balloon Fiesta! Which if it's a mass ascent is gonna be amazing! :jBlinkin wish I was going! :p

Time for beddy byes, night all :A

    Awesome post as usual fudge-cake:)
I always have a stupid grin on my face whenever i get a mention. :D:D

Mrlala is in his element, I'm cooking him proper home made chips for tea and he loves them:)He only gets them when Nannylala comes or at Xmas on Boxing day with all the cold meats because I can't stand the smell of the deep fat fryer:cool:He keeps looking at me as if to say "What are you after?":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love home made chips. You can't beat them but unfortunately, like you, I can't stand the smell of the deep fat fryer. Twice now I have craved for them and gone out and bought a fryer, only to throw it away a few months later. Not very MSE I know.

    Morning

First post in here, have read with great interest and starting to understand, just one question I can not get my head around.

I did my first comparison last night on Tescos website it came back with N/A over the majority of items, whilist I understand they only compare "comparable" products there were ones on the till that I buy at other supermarkets made by different suppliers.

For example. Kids cross and blackwell pasta shapes, I buy these at Morrisons Asda and Tesco, yet it gave me a N/A

is this normal for them to be really picky and find the slightest excuse not to compare?
    Welcome :)
