My DS2 is 4, nearly 5 and he was really difficult to get dry at nite, in fact he still has the odd accident. I used the pullups at nite for him and definitely think they hold them back. It is better to go commando with just pants, buy the dry nites or a plastic sheet and eventually they will come round. Also I have read that you should not reduce their fluid intake as they need to adjust to the natural demands of their little bodies.
Good luck.forestroxydog wrote: »I use a Kylie protector with tabs. It has a waterproof underneath soft in top. I put it over the sheets and the tabs normaly hold in place and if there are any accidents you just have to wash that. Also good as when go to grandparents or go on holiday can take. I brought the largest size possible will try and find link in the morning x
this sounds ideal never occurred to me to use "adult" products!!! - i'll google it in the morning. ta very much :T:money:0 -
Silly question - where did you put plastic sheet? under the normal sheet or on top? also i've noticed a couple of times that duvet get wet as well - is there a way i can keep it dry/protected? thank you!!! x
Under the sheet, not sure about duvet though but you could always buy a cheap spare for while it's washing. Just about to start the potty training again myself for the third time0 -
Good night off to bed now0

Just want to say a big thank you RE: the bed wetting and the advice. I must admit it has made me a little upset though because I have done what all suggest. We got her a special bed, character knickers the lot and she was fine. She went 6 months without an accident and then bam, she forgot. She started wetting the bed at night, then sitting in a corner and peeing herself.
She holds it in and then forgets to go. She pees in the car, on the bed, on the sofa, at school, on the carpet, anywhere. And she really stinks with it too. We have had her to the doctors who says the accidents started because of a urine infection. But she's been clear of it for months.
It doesn't help that when she goes down to the sperm donor for visits he slaps her in pull ups 24-7. She has come back this time, bum covered in spots and constantly wanting to wear, and pee and poo, in pull ups.
With 4 other kids the washing machine is on all the time. OH would have to do 5 loads a day to keep up without pull ups.
Even still, with reading all this, what do we do? We keep her in knickers here and she pees 5 times a day. And it stinks. 3volutions all over the house.
Any advice?!I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Just done some skimming/catching up
I could really do with the Elite taking me to their bosom this evening and giving me big huggles, I'm feeling rather traumatised! Got home today, and there are now 9 people living in my little 2 bedroom flat until Thursday or Friday  OH's daughter, son in law and 2 grandkids are here, plus his 2 boys are still with us, then there's the 3 of us  and there is nowhere to hide! Would it be rude to sit in a corner with my duvet over my head?! :rotfl:
Anyhoo, managed to squeeze a wee cereal shop in on my way home todayWas needing fuel, so nipped in to get some fuel coupons, got £18 worth and a few other bits, came to £22.99, used the Krave coupon and a JTD so it came to £10.99 after that and I should hopefully get £6-7 JTD back. They didn't have all the cereal I was planning on buying, so that threw me a bit. The Kellogs multi pack things were half price, which I wasn't expecting, just hoping I managed to recover it and my price porkie comes back ok.
Sending you big hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:0 -

To be honest unless there is a physical reason for the wetting she will find her own way. It is really hard and I know all about the smell and the upset but the support and comforting that you give her will help her through it. Is she at school, it is amazing how much they learn from and react to their own peer group.0 -
Thanks so much Robstergirl :T:T I loved your cakes so much that I decided I'd try one for when my daughter and grandchildren visit tomorrow

I large fresh cream chocolate sponge whoopsied tonight at M's from £4.60 to £1.49
2 and a half packs of Kitkats which I'd got for 50p for a pack of 12 in the co-op a few weeks ago
The last 4 packets of smarties from the express glitch
Made up a bit of chocolate fudge frosting and hey presto!!
Not in the same league as yours

Evening folks. I've had a couple of requests to ask people on the Elite thread if they would mind not mentioning or discussing the Gary Barlow situation on this thread. I think the subject matter is a little bit raw for some people and they are finding it quite upsetting.
Obviously it's not against any rules discussing it, but in this case I'm appealing to you to think of the people on here who find it upsetting and perhaps, if you want to, discuss it elsewhere. There is a thread running here on this if it's of any interest to any of you.
Many thanks
