Well good afternoon everyone and well done. You lot are putting me to shame as I've been too busy helping DP get my car ready for MOT inc replacing brake shoes, exhaust etc to do most of the list myself yet, now slow down the lot of you while I catch up!!! :rotfl: just kidding, will find the time somewhere!
Downstairs loo I get a cop out today as seeing as we are in the middle of decorating it's full of paint, tools etc etc so I've cleaned the loo and ignored the restshame on me, but it's the only safe place (has key lock) to hide it all!
Dining table is done, even if it's in the sitting room, what's left on there is a tidy pile waiting to go upstairs when I next go up.
Kitchen, well the majority of that still looks like a bomb site, moto x clothes in piles waiting to be washed, pair of boots I shall dump outside when DS gets back from youth club he can clean them himself (only 6 but likes cleaning, don't know where he gets that from) Fridge is done, oven was done last weekand have hardly used it since
Benches, well that's next and my hotspot aswell as that basket in there that everything gets dumped in by everyone else (it used to be a washing basket but now it's a 'I can't be bothered to put it where it goes' basket!)
Pigpen, hope your step Dad is ok, and well done on school governors I'm one and proud to be a pain in their backside! Michelle hope you're feeling better soon. Also a big welcome to the newbies and thankd to the regulars for making them feel so welcomePigpen - well done for kicking butt!!
I'm going to post tomorrows list early as I have a meeting tonight which I will probably be late in from, so shall do it now while double trouble are at youth club! One day I might be more organised...........

I,m with Daisies in that I work full time and live on my own. Also I work shifts and cant be vaccuming and stomping around at all hours, as the noise travels in my wee block and everyone else seems so quiet. I think I,m trying to get out of it before I,ve even started. But I,m going to give it a go and try to do as much on your list as poss without rendering myself useless at work. My house is in chaos and made a mad dash for order yesterday as the sun was shining and was my day off. Stripped one of the sofa,s washed and hung out to dry ,stripped the bed ditto, saw the bottom of my washing bag for first time in ages, ..hand washed the things I have no-where to hang indoors. Swept the outside stairs as i was coming back from shops(couldnt walk past the rubbish in corner one more time) and put the big tool bag back into loft out of the way (it weighs a ton ergo was putting it off) Must now wash lounge floor and dining room, cleared table yesterday too, and get to grips with disgusting baking tray and grill pan. if you dont hear from me soon send an ambulance:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Teedy, welcome
Try washing powder on the grill pan/baking tray, soak them in the bath, works wonders on mine
Have you thought of a swiffer or whatever they are called, the vacuum cleaners you push along, almost noise free, I have one made by Bissell which I use when its late on, then you can do a good vacuum with the proper one when you have time during the day.
Other thought nowhere to dry, I got an over bath airer from Tesco, I just fold it away and slot next to wardrobe when not in use, works wonders for me. Was about £10 and well worth it. If I am unsure when I will be home I just pop washing on there before I got out, not usightly as hidden in bathroom. Can also get the over door airers, I have seen them in Ikea, Tesco and Argos.
I don't work full time, but envy those who do, I'm probably out as much as a person who works full time is at the mo with meetings, voluntary work, appointments etc, and it's very hard getting the list done plus look after 2 little boys, I know where you are coming from. I will say it's not impossible. Even if I don't get everything done I have a pretty good go and it's much easier as the weeks go on.One day I might be more organised...........

Well, I have skinned and gutted rabbits, cleaned fish, given birth at home, cleaned up volumes of poo, sick and heaven knows what else - but the yukkiest thing I have ever done was to clean out the soap dispenser of my washing machine
I am heartily embarrassed about the state it was in.
I may now spend all of tomorrow admiring it!Is it home time yet?0 -
Well as this is my first proper attempt I think I did quite well. I have spent most of day doing it with breaks in between. Probably over did it though as can't now make dinner for family getting home. Oh well, they have clean kitchen and loos. Can't have everything.
