Years ago my friend worked in Sainsburys, was serving someone one day and picked up a packet of tongue. She screamed out 'IS THAT A REAL TONGUE?? GROSS!' and chucked it down the packing bit quick.

Unsurprisingly this did not go down well!

In her defence we were teenagers but what the hell did she think tongue was? hahaha

My pet hate round supermarkets is when parents open food (that's not even been paid for) and the child eats it on the way round the supermarkets.

Now l didn't like that until l had a child and had to go shopping on my own with child because hubby works long hours. BUT there was no way l wanted him screeching and annoying other shoppers so if I meant opening a pre packed packet of grapes or biscuits so be it.

One till trout said 'we could prosecute you for shoplifting for that'. 'really?' l replied 'what two biscuits out of a packet and l haven't gone out the door without paying for it?'.

    No answer. :D

    Happy moneysaving all.

Because you see them pick up off an unmanned deli eat it and stuff the wrapper down the back of the racking and walk away

  • I was in Waitrose recently and an older 'gentleman' had a go at myself and the cashier for taking too long! I was waiting to put my pin in the machine, I don't know why but sometimes it takes a while in Waitrose. So, I was watching the 'eggtimer' on the keypad and chatting with the cashier and he piped up from the queue -

'Can't you shut up and hurry up, you're taking too long' - said in a very posh voice but in a very rude way! The cashier said Sir, I'm still serving this customer' in a shocked way. He said she's too busy talking and she's holding me up.

I usually find 'the look' and a very clear, very Lady Bracknell style 'I BEG your pardon?' usually reduces them straight back to the Nursery tea with Nanny.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

It annoys me when inconsiderate people dump frozen or refridgerated products in a random aisle. Wasteful.

I let my two year old stand in the main bit of the trolley the other day because he is a tantrum thrower so had to try to shut him up because everyone was staring at me (which really annoys me also!). Usually I leave DSs with their Dad and go shopping on my own but needs must sometimes.

If Im walking round the shop with DSs sometimes Ill open a packet of biscuits and give them one. I always pay at the end and certainly never walk round eating a roast chicken! Often I'll bring my own snacks with me to give to them but fellow shoppers wouldnt know that.

Will never forget the time I was in the supermarket, some kid was pushing trolley around and being silly. Parents ignoring him, then WHACK he hit a member of staff. Hilarious- felt sorry for staff member though! :p

Well that's stealing, isn't it? You should tell security if you see that happen. I never have.

It also annoys me when people block the whoopsie cabinet with their trollies!!

I always leave my trolley away from the whoopsie section so others can join the fun without me blocking them!!

It annoys me the amount of people that come in drinking a Costa coffee and then leave the empty cups on the shelves. Take you flipping rubbish with you. xx
