New Lloyds Vantage current account

Definitely possible to do this on the phone. I did this yesterday for two accounts, the DDs now being set up. Did you use the 0800 number mentioned in this thread? A dedicated line for account upgrades that gets answered quickly. They might try and get you to have travel insurance or mobile phone insurance (this is one of the fee accounts where this is included). But apart from this it took no more than a few minutes including running through the basic T&Cs. I wish there was some sort of indicator online that the interest is in fact applied.Yet this time around not only is it apparently not possible to set up the extra interest tier over the phone or via online banking it is also seemingly not possible to do it at the counter in the branch either.
Instead I have been obliged to make an appointment to see an advisor next week and have been told that the whole process should take around 15 minutes - yes 15 minutes.0 -
the 0800 number currently not working:
"Unforeseen circumstancs mean this service is not working at present. Normal service will be resumed......."
Overloaded with applicants?0 -
Which 0800 have you tried ? There's 2 !0

You do not have to pay a penny to get the "Vantage" interest. "Vantage" can be added all sorts of Lloyds current accounts, all the way from the free 'Classic' to the £25/mth 'Premier' ones.0 -
Went into my local branch today, didn't make an appointment and it was all done in 5 minutes for my three accounts. The only thing is I was told that the two DD's have to be set up by Lloyds themselves or else you won't get the 4%.0

That's what I thought but she was adamant.0

I have 2 Tesco Savings accounts. Both internet savings, I only have 1 Lloyds Vantage but I only see a DD on the Direct Debits page of the Lloyds online banking.
I assume both of these Tesco accounts use the same DD?
How did everyone else appear to get 2 DDs on Lloyds for multiple Tesco Savings?
:-)If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0
