You are right about not having to put the money aside! @South_coast
i was planning to wait to see family as it’s a 6 hour round trip to sit outside but I just couldn’t wait any longer. I had packed 2 jumpers and my winter coat in the car in case it was cold! I totally lucked out with the weather!0 -

Ahhhhhh so exciting. It'll come to you soon, I'm sure. I can't imagine being mortgage free prior to 40.
Glad you got to see family. There's nothing like seeing people in real life.1 -
We've done something similar this week @caeler visiting family and we took loads of additional layers with us! And thermos of tea! But we were so lucky with the weather on Monday and Tuesday, it was beautiful.
If I can be mortgage free before 40 like you @caeler I will be absolutely delighted. Has it sunk in yet?

It’s 10 days since mortgage redemption. It’s not sunk in yet! @eat_that_frog I think it’s going to take a while.
I’m at 20 NSDs which I’m pleased with, might get 1 more before the end of the month. It’s going to take some time to change my ways. Not that I want to change them that much! I need to establish a clear saving goal as I’m missing the focus. I’ve not received a confirmation letter from nationwide yet, I’m so impatient! I’m off work today so started my long weekend with a run, garden jobs and a visit to the charity shop. I brought a dvd for 50p. I’m very happy with that!
Thanks @sweetie83 and @killerpeaty for stopping by. It doesn’t feel real that I’ve managed it quite so early in my life. I was all a bit extreme this last year though! Not sure that’s healthy long term!

I spoke too soon. The confirmation letter from Nationwide arrived just now to confirm they have closed my account and will notify land registry that they release their charge on my property. It’s mine. It’s official.Would it be weird to frame the letter?! I might.7
-
Frame it. Do it! People used to throw parties when they paid off the mortgage, why couldn't you frame the letter?2
-
It's such an historic document I'd frame it!If it's not adding up, compound it!2
-
I did it, I framed the letter! @killerpeaty and @grogged
It is currently looking back at me from my coffee table!🤣🤣8 -
