Maybe but it seems unlikely. But it’s almost like the figure I’ve been given ignores that I’ll be making 2 more monthly payments between now and redemption day. But I was sure Nationwide took that into account and assumed all normal payments continue?

I hope you get an answer I suspect they will just give to a redemption as of today's date not in the future. You're doing very well so close and then onto to the stage pensions.

I've re-read the webchat information and it states "Please do not cancel any Internal Transfers - we’ll cancel the Internal Transfer following confirmation of the settlement of your mortgage account. The redemption figure covers any internal transfers that have been collected successfully prior to today. If payment hasn’t been received this won’t be included with the figure being provided today".  So I think this means the redemption figure doesn't include any monthly repayments I'll normally make between now and April.  Phew.
  • That does sound about right.  I've done a few early repayments and they usually give you a settlement as at that date, but it lasts for a few weeks.  I've had a couple where they've accidentally taken an extra DD payment and then sent it back again.  How exciting to have the final figure for your mortgage - I can only dream of that day 😴

So today is not the NSD I planned. Aldi opened their garden shop this morning so I “had” to buy the mini growhouse! I’ve wanted one for a couple of years and it’s exactly what I need. I’m very excited, less excited about the assembly and it should be here in a week. I might have to divert a few quid from what I put in the mortgage fund yesterday! February ends on 22 NSDs, very pleased with that.

The weather is beautiful here this morning, started a bit frosty now blue sky and warm sun. I’ve been out for a run which I enjoyed and feel good for.  Today will now involve a roast dinner and a glass (or 2) of red wine. I’m trying a new Chilean Merlot from Aldi.  Yesterday I cleaned the car and pottered in the garden so I feel I can be lazy today.
