Got the text to say valuation is satisfactory and they will be in touch shortly...hmmm, no text straight after about the offer though...worried!0

tiny_atoms,
I got my text a day later.0 -
Hopefully they won't leave me waiting too long!0

I've still not had my offer through and my valuation was carried out on 14th August. I've chased it a few times, last week they said it would be with us late last week or early this week, still haven't got anything!0

Have any of you applied for NWs 'Save to Buy' mortgage? My valuation is being performed today, so I too am curious about timescales to receiving the mortgage offer.
My mortgage is 95% LTV and I've heard that the underwriting process can be quite strict with a lot of applications being refused even with a decision in principle! I assume because of the higher negative equity risk...
Bit tense to say the least!0 -
No, we have a save to buy account but not used the product as we didnt want a 95% mortgage in the end...
I called them yesterday and they said that they just need to check our payslips add up and check over the application and then an offer should be out to us. Who knows though...everyones time scales are different.
So far mine have been:
Applied and got DIP - 30th August
Valuation done - 31st August
Valuation satisfactory - 4th September
Confirmation text that valuation was satisfactory - 11th September

I also had the Save to Buy account but decided not to go for it in the end, thankfully our d-day isn't until 3rd December so we're not in a massive rush but the sellers solicitors are chasing to have the missives concluded which we can't do yet. Argh!0

Hi, I'm playing the waiting game too
got myself properly stressed out with it all last week and the Internet is full of contradictions when it comes to the process. How does our situation differ from a FTB? we are porting our mortgage and not borrowing any extra money. We will be moving from a home in negative equity to a home that will. We both now earn double what we did when we took out our first mortgage but we now also have loans. Is the porting process so strict considering we already have the mortgage that we've never missed a single payment for in 7 years? I'm really struggling to be positive about the whole thing, we're still waiting to hear back from last weeks valuation as well.......anyone in this boat too???

The valuation on the house I am buying was scheduled for yesterday, and I received a txt the same day from Nationwide confirming that the house is adequate security for the mortgage.
Have you tried chasing them up yet?0
