Nationwide mortgage - what's next and how long?

Our timescale is week 2 and 2 days valuation submitted weds 15th August valuation completed weds 29th August. When our broker logged in there's a tick next to the paperwork and the valuation is under review so hoping I hear about our offer sometime soon. It's horrible waiting.

I applied in branch, is it best ask the mortgage adviser for an update or is it better to call nationwide myself?

What is the process? If the valuation is ok does it then go to the underwriter or has that already been done/already in process?

Tiny atoms it all depends from what I've been told. We have done ours through a broker ad he does all the chasing for us. When he came up to sort our insurance policies he showed me the computer screen and it showed paperwork with a tick and valuation under review. He said our paperwork had already been to the underwriter hence the tick!so now were playing a waiting game!

Yes, that's good that it has a tick next to it. Person on the phone at Nationwide said our paperwork looked ok too, not sure if that means we have a tick or what, we applied in branch so I call Nationwide directly to ask the status. Ahhgghhhhrr I hate waiting!

I know the feeling!!!!its a complete nightmare especially when everything else is ready and waiting!out broker does say that there is a backlog though! X

well valuation has come back fine, so they are looking and checking our documents now! Its so nerve wracking! They said there is a 10 day wait.

We've had a text to stay valuation is fine!Also they said our offer would be in the post today so I'm hoping this is a good thing?

Sounds good to me! We didnt get a text, I had to call up and ask about the valuation. The text saying the valuation was ok and the offer will be sent out, was that in the same text?

We both got the valuation text then straight after my bf got another text to we are delighted to tell you....can't remember how the rest went but was good. They said we would be receiving our offer sometime soon.
