Pink. All I can say is the post count never lies.;) For those of you that don't know, Pink is my older, more talkative sister. :D Luckily most of what she talks is sensible so I just let her natter on.:p

 Less of the older and definitely less of the sensible please! :D:p

    Afternoon :hello:

Didn't get on here at all yesterday. My parents (both of them) turned up mid afternoon with FOUR boxes of my stuff out of my mum's loft  Most of them are fondly remembered books from my childhood and I am having great fun sorting through them.

Later on I went out to a show with my mum and ended up spending a small fortune as we had to take a cab there (the bus broke down at the stop before mine...)

PP - feel free to ask advice for your friend about buying Shared Ownership :)

    Today, tasks are:

-Finish writing the two opera reviews I owe to the website I write for
-Sort through the box of toiletries I haven't unpacked since moving house
    -Tidy up a bit

...and hopefully I might have time for a bit of a self-pampering evening. Still haven't got around to colouring my hair, or using any of the Lush bath bombs my Dad gave me for Christmas.

    Hope all are well

    Rzl xx

only 3:15 on Sunday and I'm already sulking about going to work tomorrow!
Have cleaned the kitchen, done the ironing and tidied the flat and did washing yesterday so at least none of that to do.
First attempt at meatloaf for tea tonight, hope it doesn't go horribly wrong.

    Hi all

Have sent DH, DS and DD to the beach. DS is too full of energy today, he is incapable of staying still or quiet. And he's not the still quiet type at the best of times!

Didn't mind the clock change this morning - it meant that when DS got me up at 6:45 it was really 7:45 so I could pretend to myself I'd had a long lie!

Hugs to you all. Snowy I really hope things get sorted out for you.

Meatballs for dinner (have rescued them from the freezer). Off to make veggie soup while I have peace.

    take care and have fun

    Hi everyone,

Well I had a bit of a meltdown yesterday :o much to DH's horror:eek: . We had a good talk about all the things that have been upsetting me (mainly the work situation but also the state of the house and the coursework I've not been doing). Upshot is that we have resolved to decorate our bedroom soon.. He has spent the day cleaning and I've been doing coursework - must get back to it in a mo.

We saw Mary poppins last night and were very impressed. It's very different to the film, which IMO is a good thing, although the well known songs were there plus some new ones. We really enjoyed it.

Lovely day here today, hope it's as nice in Brighton because DD has gone down there to visit her old flatmate.

    afternoon everyone
not had a bad day a w*** for a change despite losing the hour of sleep. but have arrived back to find dd seems to have chicken pox-spots all over her tummy. fortunately she doesn't seem bothered yet but am having a nightmare trying to sort out what to do with her as she now can't go to nursery this week and i am supposed to be on a course for 4 days and work tomorrow. my sis has offered to skip college tomorrow morning to look after her while i go to work for a while and am trying to persuade DH to swap his day off to tues so he can do his bit-he's acting like it is so unreasonable for me to ask as it is such an imposition. nevermind at least it is over and done with then
that all from my end so bye for now

    Oooooh!!!!!

Well I toddled off into Stratford to get the bits and bobs I needed and went into Wilkos for the first time ever, never lived near one before.

Guess who got herself seriously over-excited in the garden section? :o:o:o:o:o

I'd not taken the trolley as I only wanted a couple of things, but ended up lugging home willow trellis, plug plantletts, hanging basket liners, vermiculum, water retaining granules, something with pretty yellow flowers that I don't know the name of as all the packaging is in German (must have a google) and loads of other stuff like bin bags, borax and so on.

Much cheaper than the supermarkets, even taking the bus fare into account, so I think I'll be going back again :D

I did manage to control myself a bit and not buy any of the really pretty little bird boxes they had, or any more hanging feeders, so I am improving

And I did remember to get the bits and bobs I went for, most of them anyway.

So now I'd better sort all this stuff out and get on with it!

((((((Hugs Snoozer))))) You sound better for having had your meltdown, I think we need them from time to time.

Bargain Rzl, one of these days I'll work out where you get all your energy from, trying to do half your timetable would have me screaming "enough already" :A

Twink, you really shouldn't encourage me with the coot reports you know, but I'm so glad you do. ;) I bet anything that they go out for their first proper adventure on the water with Mum and Dad while I'm at work this week icon9.gif Ah well, this morning was priceless, and that nest will get lots more use this year :D

How are your woodland birds doing? Any signs of nest-bulding yet?

My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
