    Good Morning All

Lovely and sunny here in Essex at the mo and feels a little milder too. Cant wait till tonight to see the lovely long evening but must admit am missing that hour already.

So far this morning have put one load in the wm and had a bath (quite a feat for me at the mom). We are off to Maldon a local town as Jimmy's Farm are going to a deli and are doing a barbeque so that is brunch sorted. Jimmy wont be there himself but never mind.

DS football is at 1pm at home, we must remember to take his man of the match trophy back. Rest of the day involves dismantling our kitchen and all the contents and spreading about the rest of the house - that should be fun. (I will be supervising only)

Best be off - have a lovely Sunday.

    (((Skystar))) - get well soon.

Hi folks. DH, DD(10) and DS(5) went camping overnight with the scouts, so I had the house to myself last night, had a _party_ all by myself, chocs, did nothing, watched rubbish on the tele etc.

This morning I've 'done' the kitchen, and was just contemplating 'doing' DDs bedroom, but decided to have 5 on the computer instead. Tbh I don't go into DDs bedroom cos it's in such a state. That's fine, and I keep the door shut, but when it comes to the point of risking life and limb if I do have to enter, then it's time to do something about it, and while she's not here for a few hours seems like an ideal opportunity, ie she won't know what I've thrown away!!

Pig farmer pie for tea, can't think what else to call it - like shepherd's pie or cottage pie but made with pork mince instead!

Have a good day, and I'll try and catch up later if DDs bedroom is finished before midnight:rolleyes:
  • Morning Guys!

Lovely peaceful morning here today:confused: ...DD is doing HW and OH didnt roll out of bed till 9.45am:eek:     ...lazy git!....I only woke up 20 mins before him though:p :D

WM nearly done and will be hung on the line. DW being emptied as I type and toilet cleaned. All uniform done and DD will also be tidying her room sometime today:rolleyes:

We had a great evening with friends and have a ton of food left which we will have for lunch. It was lovely spending normal time with adults and engaging in adult chat and not asking for veins and prodding me with needles:D We spoke about his business and came up with some steps to progress forward and have helped him set up a basic business plan. I told him he has a good business brain...he just needs to find it:rotfl: ...good job I know him well:p Managed to save him a bit on his expenses and also saved them dosh on their family outgoings...so all in all was best pleased for them and glad I was able to help.

We have been invited to a mates for Roast Lamb later (my fav) as he is buying a new property on buy/rent scheme and has asked me to look through the paperwork. BargainRzl....I may call in a favour if needed:D He also wants me to go through his bills and see what he can cut back on. I know this will be easy as he will spend easily £50 on a take-away for us 3, or £20 on a bottle of wine:eek:    ...I sorted his car insurance last year and saved him over £400. Think he will just hand it all over and let me sort it. I dont mind though as it keeps me out of trouble and my brain working:rolleyes: ...kind of!

Well I'd best be going. I need another cup of coffee.

    Hugs to all. Chat later.

Hi everyone, one rather shattered Smoky here.

Yesterday afternoon and most of the evening was spent.............swapping lounge and dining room over2nlskeb.gifdeep cleaning the said rooms and generally tossing a load of cr*p out. I've the fishtank and one mirror to clean today. There is on the other hand a huge pile of washing to do which will mean a huge pile of ironing:( sometime later.

Roast pork here today for dinner with roast pots and parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cauli and stuffing. Yummy I am looking forward to that followed by hm rice pudding.

We were planning a walk after dinner but OH is feeling and looking rather ill with flu type symptoms so we will have to wait and see how that pans out. I may just take the kids to the park for an hour instead.

Thank you all for your kind comments about the pics. TBH I enjoy hunting them out and use them whenever I can.

AIME, yes we have fish very regularly, well we did up until recently anyway. Cod, plaice and bass from the sea and when he goes up to the lakes we have trout.

Well I suppose I best go and do some housewifey things.

2d15poz.gifHugs to whoever needs one and I hope you all have a good day.:D

    See you later,

    Smoky. xxx

Off to Edinburgh tomorrow on the mega bus for the day. i have to unlock my Barclays card which I locked  just before we went to Ireland. Might do a twirl around the castle. DH hasn't been through it yet.

    Snowy Good luck tomorrow.

Math Enjoy your 2 weeks at the beach. Don't forget to pack the suntan lotion. :D

Twink Ditto!! what others have said. Although I was shocked with the whipped cream. I thought being an OS'er you used mock cream. :D

    Blairweech What are new rocks?

    Morning all.

Hugs to those in need esp. Snowy[ It's so unfair what they've done to you.

Sun is blazing again today but I'm supposed to be off to the big smoke to buy a new car. :j However it is 2 hours away and i can't seem to get motivated  Would much rather spend the day pottering in the garden. I'll make the decision in a minute but we might just go next week.

So I haven't planned anything for today. Monday is my day for getting things back to normal in the house after the ravages of untidy OH and DDs so on a Sunday I usually let things slide.:o

    Morning All!!

Bad night for DH and I, we have very noisy neighbours, 2 young lads who have people round constantly and the noise is unreal. They were at it until gone 5 this morning. It's actually becoming enormously stressful. Come Monday I will try to find out what we can do about it as the letting agency couldn't care less despite complaints from all neighbours.

Beautiful morning here, yesterday was horrid, will try and do the bedding so it can dry outside I think.

Today we are taking the kids swimming and to a petshop. Will try and pop out shortly and do my weekly shop before we go. Nigella's lemon chicken tonight as I can pop it in the oven on low whilst we're out.

Have woken up with a miserable cold so feeling rather sorry for myself. Right must do a quick tidy and then full blown shower, refuse to appear at the swimming pool without full pedicure, shave etc!!

Hugs to all in need, I haven't had time to catch up on the threads.

CCStar - did notice that you had lunch at the Old Manor in Lundin Links - my in laws live there!!! It's beautiful, we're going up in the May half term for a visit. :T

    Have a lovely day all.

    Good Morning All

been awake sine 6.25am but couldnt be bothered to get up.
Clean washing put away and WM been on twice allready, catching up with the loads I have, plus the bed linen I changed yesterday.

OH and DS just gone to tesco for the weekly shop. If Im not in there before 10am, then I dont go! It gets too busy for my liking

Another one here who's having a roast pork dinner!

Just waiting for a chap to turn up and collect an item I sold on ebay!

General clean through today, some was done yesterday. So it shouldn't take long!

I made 2 birthday cards last night, for my mum who's 60 in a couple of weeks. I thought she was 60 next year, so Ive not made any plans for a celebration for her! Bit to late to organise anything, and to be honest, I cant really afford it either now! Plus we cant guarantee the weather to have a bbq either!

    Right off for a shower.
    Have a great day all
    Take care

    Good Morning everyone
Busy day here today if i can manage it, as I got nothing done at all yesterday as I had a flareup of an ongoing complaint, I should go to the Dr's but after my first & last visit to new dr's after moving to new area, I won't be going back in a hurry. I have no faith in a dr who says in same breath that I should take more exercise, but also say's I shouldn'd have my grandson with me as looking after him could cause me to have a stroke.
She also said she could see I took no exercise by looking at me (I walk 3 to 5 miles a day). Then told me I needed to lose weight, funny but I know that & if she'd bothered to read my notes would have seen I'd lost a stone in 6 months!
So today, I have to blitz the kitchen, make a weetabix loaf, clean out the rabbit & guinea pig & change sheets on all 3 beds. I already have washing on the line & the 2nd lot is in the machine.
Still school breaks up at the end of next week, which means I only work mornings for the first week, so I'm hoping to get loads of OS done then.
    Hugs to all
    Hester
