Lots of athletics tickets on the site now (Wed evening)

Yes, it's going a bit quicker now, but still not a sausage! I'm running out of things to try that I actually would like to go to.. I'd feel bad taking tickets for something I have no interest in.0

Try canoe slalom or weightlifting if either of those appeal? Still had tickets a couple of minutes ago0 -
I tried weightlifting with no success, and the canoe slalom is a bit more tricky to get to unfortunately, as I'd actually like to watch that!
Thanks though0 -

Shame because the weightlifting has been a really hard sell for some reason and there have always been tickets available up until now.0 -
The website is absolutely shocking... surely they could remove the events where there are no tickets to stop everyone wasting their time!
Touts seem to be managing to get hold of them on CriagsList but I've heard there are rather large fines for the buyers, as well as the sellers if caught, so it's not worth the risk!0 -
I put in for 2 closing ceremony tickets at £150 - not botehring with the £20.12 ones as I knew they would be the first gone.
I then opened up a second window for two handball tickets and 1 closing ceremony tickets
waited 20 minutes to be told there wasn't any closing ceremony tickets left.
Anyway left the handball and closing ceremony ticket request running on the other computer. I can tell you, I nearly died when it came back with no handball tickets but 1 closing ceremony ticket.
Never spent £150 so eagerly in my life.
Now, how do I tell the Mrs?0 -
lol oh dear!!
I was looking for daytime events that wern't at the start of the new school term and didn't clash with our August holiday, and not evening tickets so the 6 year old can come-so I was really pleased to find paralympic football tickets for September with award ceremony for £20)
there are still over 30 left according to the site ( mind you, they lead you on when you think there are tickets and there aren't!)
The only other option was boxing, and I don't really want my 6 year old son getting ideas and 'boxing' all the way home!!
Verrry happy now- was begining to think we'd miss the whole thing ( that'll teach me to think ' ah, we won't go' months ago, and now it's on i'm itching to see it all!)0 -

I was in exactly the same boat, but now have paralympics athletics tickets for 3rd September - it will mean a very early start for us from Notts that morning, but it will be worth it for me to see both the Olympic park and the Olympic stadium, plus medal ceremonies and some great athletics.

how do you see how many tickets are left??Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
