Lots of athletics tickets on the site now (Wed evening)

Had 4 windows open applying for different things but they all came back as unavailable.

I bet half of the country is on the website trying to get a few thousand tickets. The odds of winning the lottery are probably better.

Nothing so far, and I've had upwards of ten attempts.. at more obscure stuff too and higher prices, not even the athletics.

I've also been trying most of the last few days too.. clicking refresh on the site several times an hour and giving it a go on the ghost tickets.

A lottery win probably would be easier.

Put 4 lots of tickets in my basket (swimming, athletics, track cycling and gymnastics) but only the gymnastics was left at the point of payment. I browsing the site at the time they all appeared though so think I was on quite early. Been trying again since for other events but have just had the same problems as everyone else. Seems like most of twitter is trying to buy tickets (without much success)

Edit - we didn't even buy the gymnastics in the end as it didn't really fit in with when we are in London so we'd have had to get an extra night in a hotel and extra train tickets and they were top price tickets so OH thought it was all getting a bit too pricey. By the time we'd argued over it, the payment screen had timed out :-(

Might go to the big screen at hyde park again after it was a good atmosphere today and free

Also went to covent garden today
There is a free exibition at the opera house with history of olymics all the torches an get a free picture with the torch and a free brochure
Only had to wait 25 mins

Ok, I know I should be pleased as I've finally got tickets :j - however in my haste I've got tickets for Cardiff (mens Bronze medal football) and I live near London - Doh!!

The website does seem to be working a bit better now. It's updated and removed some of the sessions and cheaper tickets which presumably have been taken. I've just started a new search and it's saying 6 mins rather than 15+ before. Assume some people have just given up and gone to bed so it's quietened down a bit. A few people online and one real life friend have managed to get tickets!

my friend got £95 tickets for the athletics on Saturday evening so some people do manage to get the tickets!
