Honeymoon, are you having one?

If I thought that one day my OH would propose, then yes, I would hope to have a honeymoon...

Ooh we're heading off to NYC, Toronto, Niagara Falls (plus Finger Lakes, Providence and Boston) in two weeks
sounds like a great honeymoon! :T
Doesn't it just!
May I ask how you booked it and who through? I'm torn between getting someone else (travel agent presumably!) to arrange it all including hotels or getting them to book the flights and transfers but stay at the hotels I looked at and love!0 -
We were planning on having a 2 part honeymoon, a week away straight after the wedding somewhere European, then a few days in New York later on in the year so we had something to look forward to (I really want to go around Christmas and see all the decorations!) However we were seduced by the El Dorado Royale resort in Riveria Maya, Mexico so we are having 10 nights there. (Sadly not the Casitas, but a swim up room still looks good!) We will assess the New York idea again after the wedding when we look at finances, but it's also my 30th birthday the January following the wedding, so might drop hints for my new husband as a birthday treat?!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0

We've just arranged it all ourselves - we never use travel agents for that type of thing. Booked the flights there and back first, then internal flights, then car, then hotels
it really is easy and fun - no reason why you need someone else to do it
last year we did a West Coast holiday incorporating San Francisco, Vegas, Death Valley, Yosemite, Santa Cruz (and I feel like there was somewhere else but I cannot think where!) and booked that all ourselves. It really is straightforward and easy and means you can shop around for the best flights etc
Have fun planning!0 -
We honeymooned on 1st August 2011 in Cape Verde. We stayed in the 5* All Inclusive Riu Karamboa and i was absolutely fantastic!! http://www.riu.com/en/Paises/cape-verde/boa-vista/clubhotel-riu-karamboa/index.jsp#46 we couldnt have asked for a better honeymoon. We wanted to go somewhere different from where most people go like the Maldives and somewhere not many people know about so we did. Highly recommend if its a romantic, quiet and very relaxing place that you want to go to x

Bride2be, I discovered Cape Verde last night, my only concern is that hubby2be is very fussy foodwise and needs things to entertain him!
Is there places you can go that have british food, and are there activities (watersports/diving/even rambling) to do while you are there?
Edit: Just checked out your link, and it answers my questions! Sorry

Men sometimes just need a little nudge in the right direction! I did enough hinting prior!0
