We sooo cant afford it and will be paying for it for a good few months after but I really dont care! It will be the holiday of a lifetime and its somewhere neither of us have been before. The travel agent made up the itinerary for us but I couldnt have chosen anything better!!

Can I ask who you booked through? We want to do something similar :)

Well we ended up booking through Trailfinders. We got the first idea and quote with First Choice. Took that away with us then went into trailfinders the next day and they saved us £800 off the total. £200 of that was an inside cabin on the cruise but the rest was the same thing! We got a little too excited and booked it there and then. Thinking back we should have got a few more quotes but hey!

I think it is going to be the most perfect honeymoon! 5 days of chill, 7 days sightseeing, 2 days chill then the 2 hectic tourist thing in new york!

Dont know what im looking forward to the most, the honeymoon or the wedding.

    The wedding of course :A

We had hoped to go to Sorrento, but at the moment, our savings plan will not allow it, so we will see how it goes. If things go well we will get a last minute type thing, otherwise we will have a few days off work and treat ourselves to things we wouldn't normally do.

  • We are throwing aside all money saving ways and booking 2 weeks in a sandals resort...the only trouble is...we haven't decided which one yet. Any advice would be greatly received.

Not addressed to me but just to say I found Trailfinders really good for a 'build your own' holiday. They quoted me the Borneo trip I listed earlier and seem really knowledgeable and helpful about multicentre trips, and have good suggestions for bolt on bits or things to do instead.

This was my first choice too but then I started looking on tripadvisor and there are some really negative reviews :( not sure whether to listen to them or not....so we've started looking at other similar resorts that have fewer negative reviews. Tbh still not sure what to think about sandals - I so had my heart set on one of their resorts before looking on tripadvisor!

  • We are going away with all of my family to Center Parcs because they are having to come from so far away to the wedding and I prefer Center Parcs as a group!

We are then heading off to Barcelona because we met working near there so thought we would go back to our favourite city!

We are getting married next month but honeymooning next summer. We've just bought our first house and paying for a wedding all within 3-4 months is quite an achievement for a 22 and 25 year old I think! So have decided that we are going to save and do something fabulous next summer :)
Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j
