Try not to worry: just like with humans the anaesthetic hits some harder than others, as does the discomfort. As you say she has come through the worst of the danger and is in the hands of the experts.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

they asked me to visit her which I did . I got a rather "oh poor me" reception, not the " I thought I'd never see you again!!" I had imagined. She rallied a bit and eventually made her way one whole slice of ham. She also had a major widdle which seemed to amke her feel a bit better.#
She was going back on the drip and I am calling in late tomorrow morning to feed her again. The nurses were great, very kind and had tried everything they could. They left us alone in a consulting room for as long as I wanted, probably about 20 minutes. It was good to see her again, on her feet and not too bad considering the serious operation she has had
I noticed that her lovely shiny black coat is all dull and rough.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

Arty, I wouldn't worry too much about how her coat looks. The shine will come back as she picks up. You know yourself, I'm sure, when you're not well it really shows in the state of your hair.
I'm glad she ate her ham
I'm sure she'll pick up soon and be back to her normal self (hopefully not the self who eats things she shouldn't )0 -
It takes a while for them to feel themselves after such a big op. Once she gets home she'll feel tons better and her coat will start to look better once she feels like eating properly.0

She had a good enough night at home and is perky but a bit whimpery.
The black and yellow plastic they removed along with the tennis ball nits turns out to be a BBC Children in Need wristband. She must have picked it up in the local park as there has never been one in this house.
Total bill £1200 for surgery and meds and 3 nights stay. I think thats not too bad.
Thank you Petplan- excess to pay£80.

Just keep an eye on your premium once we had our lab operated on for cancer instead of being £20 a month it went up to £60 a month.
I'm glad she's looking alot better

PetPlan do not increase premiums if you claim, I know because for 4 years we had some quite heavy claims for TJ. My Daughter has same breed and has never claimed, and our premiums were the same as hers..
Another plus for PetPlan xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts xxxHe is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.0
