Heehee! There will be a whole queue of us ready to go on hols with you if your OH doesn't pull his act together, Rosemary :rotfl: I really hope that things have improved by now
tokkiandoliver - Frenzy is a very chic colourI can't get away with 'nude' shades as they make my hands look dead! Maybe I'm just not sophisticated enough? (I long to be sophisticated enough :rotfl:)
Which Dior blush did you buy? (I'm sorry if I'm being too nosy!) I really think that it's a good idea to reward yourself for each non-smoking week. Anything that helps you is worth it0 -

They sometimes do offers on where they give you one half price and so on. they send them out on their mailing list occasionally.
i used to prise mine out with a penknife and lost a few shadows along the way. as far as poss i do the old heat the plastic case from underneath with a hairdryer first trick. melts the glue so it comes off much easier. i woudldnt dare try the GHD method though, id be terrified of getting melting plastic on them! :rotfl:
at least they changed to a proper tube from the fancy bottle thing. looks pretty but was a nightmare to get dregs out of!!
More useful info! Thank you so much :A
That was a very helpful tip about their newsletter. I've signed up and will wait until a special offer comes along. In the short term I'll make it my project to collect up all my random eyeshadows and try to work out which to keep and how many palettes I need. Ideally I'd like one to store all the odds and ends and one to store my most used/reliable shadows. I love planning this sort of thing :rotfl:
I had read that the old style palette was better than the new one - it's deeper and it has a better seal. The new one still looks miles better than the Z Palette. I'm still wondering if I could design my own though...0 -
Right. I have INs to confess to...
I went into town to pay a cheque in and the bank was closed. I was so miffed that I went into Boots to cheer myself up. () In some ways I was quite self-controlled. Sort of...
I spent the last of my points on one more Revlon pretend Chubby Stick. This time I bought the shade Honey. That's it for those now - none of the other colours would suit me.
The less self-controlled part of me spent real money on three Maybelline polishes (still on 3-for-2, so £8.18 for three). I bought a nourishing base coat (practical) and two more of the Forever Strong Pro formulas (frivolous). I went for Extreme Blackcurrent and Taupe Couture. Having sorted through my NV I know that I don't have anything else like these...:o
(Takes herself off to the naughty step)0 -
i suppose i should join Willowbee and declare my selfridges INs:o

Phillip B hair mask mini

i need to buy a hair colour tomorrow. i usually get it done at a salon but a friend who is a hairdresser is going to do it for me instead as long as i buy my own colour. no idea where to start! :eek:0 -

One UU mini be delicious perfume. Whether i buy it again depends on whether it comes in a mini set - i quite like buying those.0

Morning everyone! Have a couple of UU to report:
Naked Shampoo (the one for curly hair) - WMBA, I did notice that this (paired with the conditioner) did help to "awaken" the curls in my hair. But the scent was a bit strange.
Naked Conditioner (again for curly hair) - WNBA, I don't feel it really did anything conditioner wise for my hair but it did help the curls.
Back to the Tigi Superstar Tweens now. Lets hope they actually cleanse my hair this time. Think I might need to invest in a clarifying shampoo as well just to help them out a bit. Anyone know of one that SLS free? Or is that asking too much?
On the whole depotting thing; I've depotted my Mac and Urban Decay shadows using hair straighteners (put some foil over the plate) and then put them in the Mac empty 15 palettes. You can remove the inserts so you can put any shaped e/s pan in there. They are really sturdy and I've dropped them a few times and all my shadows are still intact!

ok the holiday is on:)but only because I signed a declaration that I promised to be good and not start an argument:(:(:(:(:(.......is it worth it???????according to him I am totally at fault and he is perfect:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -
Rosemary, really hope you're ok
I'd be more than glad to come on holiday with you!
We started our marriage counselling the other day, I cried like a baby through most of it so felt really stupid. It was fascinating to see how his mind is working, it's so far removed from mine. We have to spend 10 mins every evening talking together about anything with no distractions, which was tough to start with as we have nothing in common anymore, so we stick to the safe topics of our little one, the house, and weekend plans. I'm not hopeful but we'll see where it goes.
My UUs have all but dried up. I just don't seem to be getting through anything fast enough. My only recent UU is:
Babaria Aloe Vera 24hr Moisturising facial cream - bought in the Canary Islands in 2006  Probably wouldn't buy if I saw it again, too greasy for me.
My INs, on the other hand, are coming in thick and fast. I've actually gotten worse since starting the challenge which is depressing! I've been using a couple of my T&G vouchers in Boots but in my defence, all these items were in the clearance section priced at £3 each, so I got £1 off each one, plus I had a voucher for 150 points on T&G so actually got one of them for 50p :money::
T&G Leave-in Conditioner
T&G Straight & Protect Shampoo
T&G Straight & Protect Smoothing Balm
Also while having a dig around the Boots clearance section I found for £1 each:
Johnson’s oil balancing light day fluid
2 pack Chapstick Cherry lipbalm
And finally, I had a skincare consultation at L'Occitane and came away with more stuff (that place is my Achilles heel!):
L’Occitane Angelica Discovery collection (£20):
Gel Cleanser
Face Toner
Hydration Creme
Exfoliating Gel
2 Sachets of L’Occitane Angelica milky lotion (freebie)
Sachet of L’Occitane 25% shea butter body cream (freebie)
And actually, I forgot my 20% off voucher so will have to go back in there again before it runs out in September. May be good and use it to buy an xmas present for someone!
AND finally - a friend gave me a bottle of CK One body wash. It looks a bit old! But I'll try it sometime, I get through a lot of shower stuff.
This is probably it from me for the month, very busy over the weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday and see you in September!
"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
Morning Mortgage Reduction - Yes there will be a September thread but jump in now for the rest of the month, it's no problem.
Morning all and thanks dolly84 for welcoming me.
I made my toiletries inventory this morning and thought about some pledges (in blue). I'm a little shocked at the length of my list. I realise now that my weaknesses lie in make-up! I’m going to focus on UU make-up items and I’d like to be able to zip up my nail varnish bag!
Each section is split into things I use regularly followed by things I need to work harder to UU and WNBA. I added a wants section because they are both HGs I’ve used before.
