Seams I'm not the only one having fun giving the PPC brigade a good kicking. My local Council is investigating my enquiry as to whether or not Parking Eye, Excel and TCP have planning permission for the signs an cameras they have erected in various supermarket carparks.
Let the war begin.

Wouldn't be the first time PPCs have forgotten to ask for planning permission to put cameras up. Parking Spy had to take down their cameras in a co-op car-park after the local council threaten to fine co-op for breach of planning permission (store was built on an council car-park and was given permission for parking for the community, ie no limit how long you could stay).
And not to mention Tesco getting a bloody nose when they tried to bring in TCP into a car-park they don't even own (they lease the land from the MOD)0 -
How do you check if they have planning permission for cameras ? ( got them in our local co-op too )Wouldn't be the first time PPCs have forgotten to ask for planning permission to put cameras up. Most local authorities operate an on-line planning department database which you can search by address/postcode. Put in the postcode for the supermarket/retail park you are interested in and you can then read through all of the planning permissions for that site. Individual websites work in slightly different ways but that is basically the route to follow. How do you check if they have planning permission for cameras ? ( got them in our local co-op too )My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

Found it thanks. applications over the last 5 years are.
1/.Two illuminated single-sided free standing display units
2/.One illuminated hanging window sign
3/.1 x externally illuminated fascia sign and 2 x illuminated totem signs
4/.6 double-sided lamp post mounted signs, 4 trolley shelter signs and 1 double-sided post mounted sign - all non-illuminated
Nothing about any ANPR cameras. What should I do, email the planning dept ?0 -
How planning for the signs themselves ? I think they need to apply for that as well. I would certainly take this up with the local authority plannersExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Might be worth giving them a try
I would guess that number 4 might be the signs for the scammers0 -

I'm not sure they are as they put up some other signs before the scum moved in, have to go and check. 2 hr time limit, wonder if it will take me longer than that to count all the signs lol0 -
If they don't have planning for them would anyone that has paid be entitled to their money back.0

It is funny because we have another supermarket that's been invaded by your PPC friends and there's no planning listed for their signs either.0 -
Town and City Parking sent me a load of thier nonsense and I ignored them!0
