    My father in law bought his static caravan from ebay - It was stunning and cheap as chips ;)

    Can`t help on the `living in caravan` question. BUT as i`m intrigued and nosey why are you choosing to do this?

    You are going to choose to live in Blackpool:eek:
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.
  • i think it seems to be alot cheaper living i like the idea of caravan sites been in a small community my children will be able to play outside my caravan where as i would never let them play on the streets i just hope i can do it as i have something about you have to move every 28 days for council tax purposes? im hoping i can pay the council tax and stay

    I wouldnt choose to live like that myself but can see why people would.

    Its more the ground rent i think, i know nothing about caravans (never been in one) but my father in law always says they can be costly if you have a low income.

    Just be careful that even if you find a park that is open all year round - it actually allows residential living.
    Someone may correct me on this but;
    Basically a good rule of thumb is if you are actually given a proper postal address & are liable for council tax - it's a permitted residential site.
    If your mail comes c/o site address & your Ctax is included in site charges it's not & if you're found to be permanently living on a non residential site - the local council can evict you and your caravan!

    There are plenty of residential sites out there tho - so good luck .x
  • yes i guess buying a nice static could cost about 8k but its still miles cheaper than buying a house lol and not spending as many hours doing housework sounds appealing!
  • thankyou tiger i do hope there is residential parks as most i found are for over 55's i do hope theres one for families

    Probably feeding bad information here but thought for static caravans on a non resident site you were allowed something like 48 weeks.

    I also would like any info regarding this matter.
    Though would prefer a lodge style home.

    Also agree with Mckneff though for political reasons!
