I played a bit in my teens but made little progress and I didn't touch a guitar for 30 years.
I started again last year but I have got hooked in a big way. I have bought loads of guitars but they are mainly inexpensive ebay bargains, most of which I sell on for a small profit. I am nowhere near good enough to justify buying a £1,200 PRS. Maybe in a year or two.
Music has always been a big part of my life but now I play it as well as listening to it. I am not naturally musically gifted, which is very frustrating as I love it so much, but I work hard at it and I am making slow but good progress.

Bamber, I agree with that.
I have an Aria STG 003 Strat that cost me £50 on ebay. The pickups are basic but sound OK and the rest of the guitar is lovely. The neck is perfect and I can set the action really low with no problems.
I also bought a Squier Affinity series Strat for £35. The Affinity series is supposed to be the budget Squier range but this example is really good. It has a lovely Tobacco Sunburst finish, a good neck and a decent tone.
I bought a set of Lace Sensor Gold pickups for about £70 and I might fit them to one of the above, though really they should go on a far better guitar.
Got a VIntage VP6 (wasn't called thta when i got it butpractically the same model) thought i had just found a lucky model but i've since played more of them and they all seem to have very smooth playable necks. The Yamaha Pacifica is meant to be the top of the budget guitar game but it just wasn;t as good when i played one. A few yearslater i decided it had to sound a bit better and got a Pearly gates Plus for the bridgethen little 59 and Jb Jr for middle and neck, sounds great now.Bought, not Brought0
