against forum rules as well reported,
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Tomorrow never come's as today is yesterday and tomorrow is today

I don't know why anyone would post a link to their own auction here if it was just screaming 'I'm breaking the rules, please report me'
What personal gain could that possibly achieve? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I'm not sure I'm following you so two questions:
1. Who did you report?
2. Why say its against MSE rules to make money? Did you mean against MSE rules to promote and sell your own goods? In which case see question one.

Computerwoman, I am not "harryboy" and I have nothing to do with that listing.
I can’t easily prove that but, as Fay posts, I would hardly draw attention to my own listing if it breaks so many rules that it gets reported and pulled.

I’m very jealous of your hubby. Mrs A would not allow me to spend £1,200 on a Paul Reed Smith.

((((hugs)))). Oh don't be jealous, he has to do the washing up for a month afterwards. His last toy was one of these;
Nothing really comes off of eBay, too much risk really. The PRS will come from one of these big guitar places and he'll spend the morning there picking one out. £1200!!! *yikes*
Go for a Boss GT-8, there's just so many features that OH hasn't even come close yet. A training DVD has also just been released on how to set the thing up.0 -

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE WOMAN
My hubby...who can barely string two chords together so hasn't been allowed anything but a basic guitar... now things he's hard done by and I'm a bad bad wife
I just have to keep pointing out that I wouldn't be on MSE if we had the money to make him into a rock-star. :rotfl:
Please tell me your hubby and avoriaz are young men and eventually they will grow out of such an expensive hobby :T:dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!! :dance:0 -
Bamber, I agree with that.…the real best bet is to play cheap guitars in shops until you find one with good natural acoustics and a comfortable neckthen buy it and put better pickups in it. …
I have an Aria STG 003 Strat that cost me £50 on ebay. The pickups are basic but sound OK and the rest of the guitar is lovely. The neck is perfect and I can set the action really low with no problems.
I also bought a Squier Affinity series Strat for £35. The Affinity series is supposed to be the budget Squier range but this example is really good. It has a lovely Tobacco Sunburst finish, a good neck and a decent tone.
I bought a set of Lace Sensor Gold pickups for about £70 and I might fit them to one of the above, though really they should go on a far better guitar.
