You really are not going to believe what happened today

    You're not

My brother felt ill during the night, went to docs this morning with angina pains and ended up being sent to hospital by ambulance   I spent the afternoon down there and went back this evening with some overnight things for him from his house. Luckily, if all goes well, he should be home tomorrow, but on additional medication and closer watch at docs, but it just goes to show, you can't relax as there is always something else ready to come out and bite ya :(:(

I am off to try to sleep now go night night everyone - sleep well

Evening all - quick post and then I am off to sleep

I took my brother to get a new bathroom cabinet and a garden storage cabinet, then we had great fun putting the storage bin together ..... :p .... and got it outside, perfect, just what he needed. I have been rewriting the celebrant's service speech as she really hadn't caught the gist of what Mam was about, and I think it relects her life to a T now :D My sister and I later downloaded 'She'll be coming round the mountain' onto CD and had good fun singing along again :j$

I had decided to read a verse at Mam's funeral and have looked at several and chosen this one:

Feel no guilt in laughter, she'd know how much we care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she’s not here to share.
We cannot grieve forever, she would not want us to.
She'd hope that we could carry on the way we always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way we showed we cared,
The days we spent together, all the happiness we shared.
Let memories surround us, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,
And fills us with the feeling that she is always near.
For if we keep those moments, we will never be apart
And she will live forever locked safely within our hearts

    God bless

This is beautiful, I've borrowed it and posted on my Nan's FB page, she used to love FB and her page is now a page where we can talk to her x

My sister and I decided this afternoon on these songs:

    For entrance:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geOdtA7N6Kk
Time after Time, recorded by Sinatra in 1946, the year Mam and Dad got married

    During service:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvavH6HEVIU
When Mam & Dad just had my brother, before my sister and me were born, this song became their song - listen to the song and you will see why, remembering that Mam was called Molly ;)

    As we leave:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ia21rIMmeAA
The song she used to sing with my sister and the girls, complete with spirited 'Yee Ha' in appropriate places

I finalised rewriting the Celebrants eulogy too, to make it much more personal, and my sister has sent it off to her. My brother thanked me for doing such a good job on it, my sister too, so I was well pleased with that :D

I'm glad the funeral went as well as it could, hugs xxx

We had the same for Nan's funeral, so many family members that I'd not met. I could talk a lot about it, but this isn't the place for that xx

I do hope they sort your Brother's meds put soon, I'm not well myself at the mo but not sure what - docs are testing - may be diabetic or something. Wish they would find out what is the matter though as I am tired of feeling unwll all the time. i do have a raging thirst all the time though so they may be on the right track. Anyway blood tests next Thursday so we will see. Ears are totally blocked as well but doc won't sringe as I may also have an infrction - they always come in bunches don't they.

We had to have Kelso dog put to sleep last week, he bit OH suddenly and he wouldn't let go - you just can't take chances so it was over quite quickly. OH was with him to the end but I didn't have time to say goodby so it has been hard. We have taken the desision to concentrate on ourselves now, we are off to London to visit DD - she is being evicted from her flat because the council are reclaiming it from her landlords as they need it for their own tennants due to the bedroom tax - she is a property guardian and lives in soon to be demolished properties to stop them from being vandelised - her landlords may have an alternative fo her though so hopefully she will be sorted soon.

Anyway sorry to bring more gloom to the thread, it just seems to be the way at the moment.

Hiya - my brother is being kept in another night as they need to find out why his bloods are going so fast. They have changed his meds a little and had just moved him onto Cardiology ward which is where my sister and I visited him this afternoon. He is feeling ok, but they say it appears that he had a very minor heart attack without knowing it

We will know more tomorrow I guess

Having a heart attack without knowing it is not as rare as you think :(

He is in the best and safest place for now, hope they sort him out and send him on his way very soon ;)
