That's beautiful 3Dogs. That verse your Mam will love and how true.
She'll be up there chatting away to your Dad and Mr 3Dogs, and checking on the dogs at Rainbow Bridge.
Hugs to you all. Xxxxx0 -
I love that reading, so true.
I was only 7 when my two brothers dies in a boating accident, my Mum told me that nobody is dead as long as someone remembers then. We talk about them, and everyone else that has gone, so often. It is good to remember all the happy times, they really do out weigh the sad ones:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

No it was tongue in cheek about "How much is the doggie in the window", we didn't actually put it forward to the undertakers, it was just me saying it :rotfl: :rotfl: Anyway, my brother would have a heart attack if I suggested it seriously
He is looking for some suitable classical music, my sister and I will look at dance band music as Mam & Dad did go dancing in their younger days and that is where they met, at a dance. Or maybe a Geordie song as Mam was a true Geordie and would not be budged from Tyneside. When we were very little, Dad wanted us to move to S!!!!horpe for work, but she wouldn't, and then, when one of his brother's and their family emigrated to Australia in the 1960's, Dad really wanted us to go for a new life, but Mam put her foot down. She wasn't moving from where she knew, very much a home-bod my Mam, whereas Dad, having been in Merchant Navy, would have loved the life in Australia. She said to me only 2 years ago, in a moment of lucidity, "do you like living in the country?" When I said we loved it, she said "Oh I wouldn't. With nothing around you. I like it here"
Might I suggest goodnight sweetheart? I had that for my auntie as it was one of the songs she used to love to dance to0 -

My sister and I decided this afternoon on these songs:
For entrance:

Time after Time, recorded by Sinatra in 1946, the year Mam and Dad got married
During service:

When Mam & Dad just had my brother, before my sister and me were born, this song became their song - listen to the song and you will see why, remembering that Mam was called Molly
As we leave:

The song she used to sing with my sister and the girls, complete with spirited 'Yee Ha' in appropriate places
I finalised rewriting the Celebrants eulogy too, to make it much more personal, and my sister has sent it off to her. My brother thanked me for doing such a good job on it, my sister too, so I was well pleased with thatMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
