Good for you Beanie - most consultants struggle to get good helpers, or any helpers, and I find the more involved you are, not only are you more inclined to go to classs, you get more out of it too

    I agree.
The girl I ngo with was asked to help with the raffle but said no.
I find that hard to take on board TBH.

Hi, just read your blog from the start and wanted to wish you well. Its hard to believe how much our lives can change in so little time. Well done on going back to SW. On the eating front try and eat properly, 3 decent meals if pos( i know this is easy for me to say) only cos when my mum died and my dad was left, from the start he always ate proper meals at the table which would put my meals to shame, i did'nt have to worry about his eating and i could reasure family and friends that he was eating ok. one of the questions i was always being asked by family and friends was " is he eating ok".

Big hugs to you, take care.xx

    Hi all
    Hope all are well

If the hurt stopped petal, it would mean you didn't care, and of course, you do. It's the nature of life ....... and death :( The hurt will ease but it will take time. I am very upbeat, it's my nature, but I have a big gaping hole inside of me, and in my life, that I hide. Tears come when you least expect them :( A song. A word. A thought. That's all it takes. But I don't want to stop hearing that song, or those words, or those thoughts. I want to cherish them

We will keeping putting on that brave face. That mask that hides our sorrow and the emptiness. We are expert at it, aren't we? That is why this thread is so important. We don't have faces on here. Just words. And we can use those words to say what we feel. What we need to say. What we can't say to others. No need to hide behind a mask on here. We can be ourselves

We can still have fun, and laugh and joke. There is nothing wrong with that. We can still share the happier parts of our lives. Our sorrow does not stop the world turning. Or 'life' happening. We can still smile and not feel guilty. We can still live. We can still be happy. Yes, it is ok to be happy when your heart is breaking. The sadness is part of our lives, but it is not the whole of our lives. Life goes on ............... and time will make it easier, if we let it

Oh, about that wardrobe. I dare you to move the chair from the door. Don't open the wardrobe yet. Just move the chair away ;)

Oh Susan you are so the voice of reason, you sum things up better than I could ever hope to, I have moved the chair a little bit, can see inside now and have done a little bit more moving of things without it seeming like I'm dismissing Nick if that makes sense. Nemo is sharing his West Ham scarf that I keep under my pillow.
I must admit I have been to the docs and he has given me sleeping pills, have been waking during the night and getting up at 5.30 but yesterday slept from midnight to 7.30!!! Feel better today so hope it will continue.
My dear son took me shopping today in his new car!! He is a pretty good driver and so proud of his little car! Its his g/fs b/day so he got her a pandora charm of a bus cos he can drive and she can't yet!! How mean! she's a lovely girl too! Kind of thing Nick would have done!

Tomorrow would have been our 32nd wedding anniversary so my daughter + b/f, son+ g/f, dad and his wife are taking me out for a meal. Quite poignant as he died on the 9th last month. Shall have lots of food and wine to ease the pain.

Beanie Well Done on 3 1/2 stone!! thats an awesome weight loss!!! Well done to you too Susan for going back to slimming World!

Aesop have you been able to sort the Jury Service? Must admit I have always wanted to do it, Nick got called and did it about 4 years ago, he loved it and it was a really good local case.

JayJay Yorkshire is a lovely place to live, I too get lots of visitors! Hope all goes well for you.

    Take care all

Hello Amber and thanks for your kind words :D

I am trying to eat properly :o On Tuesday I had fruit and muller for breakfast and then egg salad with new potatoes, and in evening, some crispy bacon and salad. I have struggled today though. I had my fruit and muller for breakfast and a red grapefruit but it was 9.30pm before I ate jacket potato, chicken breast and brocolli - which I forced down :( I've had my 30gms of chese both days and bread yesterday, but would have struggled to eat a B choice until I realised I could could my prunes from breakfast as one so I had extra to bring it up to the correct amount

I will try to have 3 meals tomorrow :o

Hi hun - glad you have moved the chair, even just that little bit is progress ;) and that Nemo is sharing Nick's West Ham scarf :rotfl: There's no harm in having a little help from the doctor to sleep at night, as sleep is so important. I have been on anti-depressants for a few years now and I know I could not have coped with all this without them

I'm glad that your son is getting on well with his new car :j :j and hope that you can still enjoy your meal out with the family tomorrow. Nick would still want you to enjoy yourself :D
