My husband is a PO and he said to save everything and write a letter to your local MP and the Inspector of the station stating everything he has said to you. A little mention of press probably wouldnt go amiss... and this will all be sorted out by the time jeremy kyle comes on!!!

His police credentials might save him the £25 it costs to make a court claim, that's all.

If he's buying a 10 year old car, expects the exhaust to be in perfect condition and doesn't check it anyway, he's a moron.

he will only get advise from his federation solicitor thats it.. he will still have to pay any court fees and if his fed rep/solictor is a good un then they will advise its an older car so will develop faults..
