I don't seem to be getting very far today :o Although I have helped DD build a robot costume out of empty cardboard boxes :rotfl:

We had a late lunch (4pm!) so we'll be eating later. Instead I'm going to get on with some jobs as I'm determined to have some "me" time on Sunday when DD goes to the Lakes for the day to see family.

Hi there. Just a quick catch up and it looks as if you have all been busier than me! However, I'm feeling stronger today and intend to o at least an hour tomorrow.

Welcome Badger, I'm still fairly new, and I'm sure you'll get lots of inspiration here.

Mrs Roberston, well done on your win, and, a blackbird is black and a golden eagle is golden!!

Lamewolf, have a good night out, I'm glad you like reading about the birds, and you are so to lucky to have a wren visiting you. Wonder why you've got a mug with a dragon on!

I wonder would you make of me? My favourites are some we have that are a plant pot shape, bright coloured with white spots, and a couple with cats on. (When we started to take in rescue cats nearly all my pressies that first year, for birthday and Christmas, were cat related - I love them!!).

Well, good vibes to everyone, especially anyone feeling low or poorly, and I hope to have a good flying day tomorrow. X

PS. Dusty, I've only just seen your earlier message. I've only ever seen a woodpecker once in this garden, years ago, and I was amazed at how much noise it made when it was 'pecking'!

Well nothing of my list but I have cleared out DD's and DS2's wardrobes and drawers, 2 x black sacks for charity all good just outgrown and a wee pile of stuff, designer and still with tags for carbooty. SiL sent up a sack of clothes for DD earlier most still tagged so they have been hung up. OH been to tip with the rot from the shed. Rabbits cage now housed in there. Littlies room floor cleared and hoovered just needs a dust and it will be good for a minute or five;) I need to bring the recycling bins from the street cause I've not got round to that yet:o and do the dishes, it seems such a tough job when I have to boil the kettle twice:rotfl:Then I'm going to have a wee seat and watch the telly if there is anything on worth watching, I think I will be in my bed shortly this flinging buisness is knackering:D

    Evening!

Triker - good to have you back x

Welcome to all the newbies :D

MrsC - I've had a much less productive day with a nasty BD reappearance for the first time in ages which has meant I spent most of the day dozing on the sofa :o Must try harder tomorrow ......

The teachers were told they weren't allowed to sign passports etc because GP's get paid for doing it and solicitors etc so they were not to do it, esp as they were inundated with requests to do whole families and it was interfereing with their work supposedly.. I had real trouble getting 1 of the teachers to validate DS1's bank account application.. and she has long since left.

I have signed several passports (and one British Citizen application) this year but I probably wouldn't do the pupils' family members as I usually can't say I know them.

Froddy I think I'll stick to doing an open-ended bucket list; if I put a time limit on it, I'll get stressed, as I'm quite OCD about doing things in a timely fashion.

Makes sense - I just don't like the 'bucket list' phrase! I'm thinking of breaking my list down to something like 10 in 101 to keep me more focussed.

Enjoy your evening and your day out tomorrow x

Oh, and my mug has my name spelt in the BSL alphabet!
PS JJ, have I just friended you on Facebook, I've accepted :]

Helen - I sent you a friend request this morning but, as I did it on my phone, I couldn't let you know who I am on here!

Right, need to add some flying bit ........ errrmmm ....... ah! ....... I washed up and cleaned both furries cages and am about to wipe down the kitchen and hob (after the swimming finals!)

I discovered yesterday that I decluttered all of my favourite socks to a charity shop about a month ago, instead of to the attic as intended. I am furious with myself, but hey ho, what's gone is gone. (They were expensive cotton ones, so someone no doubt got a bargain, but they won't know to hand wash them.)

The dentist managed to fix my troublesome tooth without drilling it! Yay for my dentist. And OH has leant me a pair of his trainers which are big enough to hold my broken toe with bandage, so I can now drive and get around again. Hurrah! No flying today as the dog's coat was being decluttered at the groomers (she hates being groomed, so it gets done by a vet nurse every three months and as a result isn't frightened of me). It's quite a few miles away so I have to spend several hours pottering around the shops and reading in the library while she's being done. All things considered, the house isn't looking too bad, despite not being able to do the dailies for three days. I'll catch up over the next three days as we have people coming to dinner on Friday and the thought of them realising how grubby the place was fills me with horror.

Is it something special about the first weekend in August? It seems several people are spitting and polishing, preparing for guests.
    Better is good enough.
