Do you think she'll mention when she's in labour or just drop subtle hints and hope he eventually picks up on them?

LOL! Or just come home with the baby one day and say she didn't know how to tell him it was coming?! :p

Seriously, I can't imagine a) successfully hiding a pregancy from my OH, b) wanting to hide it and, c) after eventually coming clean after being asked outright not offering any further information such as how far along it is! What a strange uncommunicative relationship you have OP! :o

Congratulations though... lets hope you manage to get a little more involved now! :)

surely that would have been the next question you would have asked? Or she would have mentioned it??

How can you live with someone and not talk to each other properly! are you scared of her or something? Or she is scared of you? this is just so bizarre.

How you will ask each other questions involving the upbringing of the child if you are too worried to ask each other simple questions?

I totally agree with this, how can asking "when is our baby due" a bit too much? I just don't get it? You're having a baby together yet you can't seem to communicate properly, very weird IMO.

    Congratulations OP!

I'm sorry to mention this, but are you sure the baby is yours? It seems a bit weird that your girlfriend is so secretive about it.

Congratulations OP – though I am also finding it rather strange that you waited over a week to ask her!!

Fingers crossed this baby will help you both communicate more!!

well, i suppose i better post. I asked her last night. Was practically shaking while lying next to her but as soon as she answered yes everything tense went. Feels like a weight off my shoulders and i'm going to be a father.

Good job i treated her to the stuff from the boots link in the 'quick, grabbit while you can" board.

Delighted at the outcome. I suppose i was just nervous as it's the first time for both of us. All going nicely now. Different things to discuss ;)

    congratulations!
