Yikes - I've been using Staykill all over my house for the last 2 weeks in an effort to get rid of the !!!!!!s!! Will have to do some research on it now!!!
    WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbs

  • I would recommend staykill too, I was under the impresion you can still buy it but it's been changed a bit, doesnt last as long I think? (used to be 12 months)... anyhoo its the only stuff I ever found to work.

They said the fleas were my fault for taking their dogs around swampy land (which I didn't), so that was the final straw. I've banned everything from the source house from coming round, including people.

I've been free for more than a month now, so hopefully thats it. No more of the horrible critters jumping on my feet as I walk around the room.

I doubt if it would work, all the Mickey Mouse methods failed, even the proper treatment took time.

I suspect the best remedy - ironically - is having the dog all the time since they will sweep up the fleas like a magnet preventing them getting on you.

It was more difficult to actually find fleas in the place where they came from than my house, because they had already feasted on the dogs blood dropped back on the carpet and were dying or relatively inactive.

Providing you stop the life cycle by treating the dog and carpet, they should eventually stop completely. If you have a shag pile it will be about 2 months unless you wish to get rid of the carpet.

Never spoken to the guy since this happened. Not being blamed for looking after his dogs if he can't remember to treat them.

Thanks for your answer - I suspected as much :) We have hard floors downstairs so I'm pretty on top there but upstairs/beds is my worry. I have a shag pile rug which I am just going to bin and get a new flat one. I've ordered some Advantage or whatever it was called and the spray for the house beginning with I - terrible memory!!!! Also investing in a steam claener to rid eggs in soft furnishings if there are any. We have dark red sofa so hard to see!
