I am doing the 3rd letter for my brother for the Lloyds TSB.
I was coping it and as I read it I noticed I have to put in the court name,
but I am unsure which court I enter.
Do I put the MCOL or is it our local court or one in their region?
All responces appreciated.0 -
hi there all you people with endless knowledge!
I am in the daunting process of reclaiming about a grand from HSBC. Now I am at step 4. I have sent letter to claim charges and am now threatening with court action as I haven't received any reply after 4 weeks apart from an acknowledgement, that they are investigating.
1. Now ... I live permamently on a narrowboat in town A, my postal address is at Town B and my bank's branch address in Town C. Which county court should I name?
2. And ... how is "local county court" defined? Does it mean I should name the geographically nearest court? Or does it depend on my actual address and county?
Example: Live in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Geographically nearest court is Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Should I name Mansfield or Derby?
I have read the very useful help thread but did not find an answer to this particular circumstance.
Thank you all for your support. It makes me feel much less alone and somewhat braver and stronger against these ugly big mean banks!0 -
Ok i got the reply from Lloyds tsb saying " like any business we do charge blaa blaa blaa " so now i threaten them with court action the problem is i live in Glasgow so which court to i put down and where do i send this next letter, sorry to sound dumb i just wanna do this right and not make any mistakes
thank you all0 -

Just wonder if anyone will clarify with me about the 2nd letter to your bank, do you use your local court in the letter, as where i live theres a crown court and a combined court, i assume for lower stuff. unsure whether its my local court or not i put in the letter.0
-
Its up to you but the case will be heard at the local county court not crown or magistrates/youth. You could just put in county court or small claims court and that would be sufficient.
Good Luck0 -
ISTR that their proper name, which should indicate that you are serious, know what you are talking about and won't go away, is "the small claims division of the county court".The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0
