I usually think 15 or 16 and still living with their parents, so I guess same general gist.
And cyclonebri.. you probably want to head up into the valleys for that, though don't be surprised if some of them would also beat you in a fight.

Nasty, horrible, aggressive road users are the problem. I refuse to let them get me stressed and ruin my day. I treat road users who behave like that just like a toddler having a tantrum - stand back, let them blow it out, and have a good laugh.
People like this want to bully and harass innocent people, and I'll be damned if they'll do it to me. They make themselves look like right t*ts and I just sit back and enjoy the show.
You're allowing their drivng to influence yours for the worse. You are not supposed to match speeds with a car you were in the process of overtaking.
Just because they are being a !!!!!! tailgating you, doesn't mean you should be a !!!!!! too.0 -
pacific - yes I did read your post, which stated that you're overtaking, and I agree that me saying floating could have meant on your own - sorry.
What I meant was that if you overtake someone, they're doing 59mph and you're doing 61mph, I was calling that floating, and if someone flies up behind you at a whopping 70, you should consider completing the overtake more quickly, or cancelling it and pulling in behind. Or maybe you didn't look behind you properly or just the speed of the traffic behind correctly.
And no, I'm not defending tailgating.0 -
Just got rid of my 25. I seem to remember ZR insurance premiums being inexplicably higher, despite mine being modified (and declared) to have the same power output as the ZR.radion_auto wrote: »It's a real shame that people like this are pushing up the premiums for careful MG ZR drivers. I've owned the car for the past 5 years and my insurance has skyrocketed because of young hooligans!
I had parked up in a hospital car park, and on returning to my car found a woman in a large 4x4 had parked out of a space, making it impossible for me to drive forward out of my parking space (I had reverse parked). Luckily she was still with her car, so I asked her to move so I could leave the car park. She condesendingly replied "you can get that little car of yours out of that space". I drive a Clio.
I offered her my keys, and suggested that she drove my car out of the space, to which she replied, "I can't do that, I'll end up denting my car"???????
She then moved her car 10 yards so I could leave, and then she got a real parking space.
Well don't drive such a silly little car.
Just this afternoon I came home to find a note under my wiper saying something like 'parking here is difficult, you've taken 2 spaces, use your head next time.' Of course, I backed right up to the car behind which since moved. Sigh. I often look at the road and wish a tractor could come along and nudge the entire row closer together!0 -
lol, what makes you say that?
Maybe Prince William is a well behaved young man, but I tihnk the post you quoted was referring to the general public. He's right. You really can't deny that the UK is full of very very anti-social, rough people, and it's not a particularly nice place to live.
Try Canada or France.
Personally, i'd love the live in America. Lived there for a short time and the people are as friendly and polite as anything. Almost overly-so in some states.
WRONG!!!
There are a small minority of anti-social, rude, ignorant people who spoil it for the rest of us. You will also find that there is a bigger concentration of these people in large towns and citys. In more rural areas people tend to be far more friendly.0 -

Where did you get that from? How on earth did you manage to jump to the conclusion that I like to go around overtaking at 2mph faster than someone?!?
It's fantastic - for the sake of being contrary you're actually making up imaginary situations...
"They all do that sir", you can't post in this section of the forum without a vivid imagination, and the lapse of memory that allows to believe it's true.:A:A:A:A:A:AI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

To be fair, that post was an "if you are" not a "you are".
I think the reason why things like that get posted is you find that if someone is complaining about a greater than average level of road rage incidents it can sometimes be the case that they may be doing something inconsiderate that is winding folk up.
It's usually not something illegal and I agree that the resultant reactions shouldn't happen, but people's reactions are out of your control and if the goal is to reduce the frequency of these events then it might be worth looking at your own driving as that is something you can control.
Also bear in mind that as you're busy intentionally winding up and delaying the tailgater you are also inconveniencing (and possibly winding up) everybody who is patiently queuing behind the tailgater, people who have done you no wrong.0
