I keep thinking about one because statistically I'm well overdue an accident.0 -
My brother has now been told the CCTV footage has been reviewed, it shows the car that reversed into him stopping and reversing. It doesn’t show the impact as the rear of the car goes out of shot.
It does at least show the car did reverse, he asked if he could have a copy of the footage and was told no,only the police can request it. I’ve told him to talk to his insurance company on Monday.0 -

this combined withThe damage to your brothers car will tell an investigator all they need to know.
Basically, when someone runs into the back of someone else, they've usually been braking which lowers the front of the car. Damage to the rear vehicle (your brothers) will mostly be concentrated on the upper half of the front end.
When someone reverses into your car it is hit flat on so damage is more uniformly spread over the full height of the vehicle.
should help prove your case.
if there where no parking spaces do you think she could have done it on purpose to put a whip lash case in?0 -
Thats why everyone should own a Dashboard Camera!!! I have one front and back, they are plugged into the car power, turn on and start recording when i start the car, and shut off 30 seconds after turn the ignition off. £30 each of ebay, they store 150 minutes of recordings, in15 minute consecutive files, and when they memory card is full they record over the oldest file in a loop, so you never have to intervene or reset them.
Reversing into you at the lights and claiming you hit them is becoming a common scam, especially round Birmingham**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0 -
she has probably discovered that employers are passing on excess charges in the event of a fault accident from their liability insurance wich when you have a company car these are part of your contract of employment in most cases.
i think i'll invest invest in a cam also.
also you can request the segment of video that relates to you under DPA with a admin fee of no more than £10.00 chargeable the council cannot refuse to give you footage of yourself or your property, the camera's are for public safety and as such the public are entitled to view and request footage of public interest not just the police, (how do you think the press get hold of cctv footage).0 -
Update on this, my brothers insurance company have started court proceedings against the other driver. The other driver has a witness who states.
1) What happened?
The man in the car at the back drove into the back of the car in front.
2) What speed was the car doing at the time of impact?
I don't know I didn't see that happen.
3) Do you know any of the drivers?
Yes she is one of my customers.
Should be fun in court.0 -
