HELP! Flights to Australia

Calm down, I wasn't scorning your efforts, all I'm saying is that I don't get any of those options when doing a search through Lastminute.com. Assuming Flopper doesn't either, they are of no help to him unless you explain how you get them.
In any case, I still question whether those fares are in fact available. Lastminute makes it clear in their T&C that making a booking is to make "an offer" for a flight. Lastminute will then confirm with the airline that the seat can be provided (standard policy with 3rd party bookers). If you are finding a flight through some round-about way that doesn't show up anywhere else, chances are that it's not available. Just something for the OP to take into account.
Again, you are just writing a load of tosh. You can see that the flights were bookable, as I actually entered my personal details on the screenshot.
Whether they are honoured by the airline has nothing to do with you or I. We can only go through the booking process.
There was no special booking process. The fact that you tried and failed makes you unlucky or perhaps not very good.
The flights aren't just sitting there, waiting for you to block them by making dummy bookings.
So if you don't actually want a flight for those dates, how about you move on or simply post your own findings, rather than leeching off mine?0 -

They were not bookable. I'm sorry you are finding that so hard to understand. The minimum prices I posted earlier are correct. Posting out-of-date prices is of no help to anyone.0 -

So how would you explain the screenshot with my personal details entered?
Don't be a sore loser. You have contributed nothing to this thread and now are just Trolling.
If you have something positive to contribute, then do so. Your inability to find a flight should not entice you to try to cause a useless argument, in order to help yourself to feel better about your inability to contribute anything of use.
It is clear that they were bookable by my screenshots.
So what is the purpose of your argument, other than Trolling?0 -

Goodness me, I didn't realize this was a contest.0 -
Goodness me, I didn't realize this was a contest.
It isn't, you are just acting like a poor loser.
You haven't contributed a single useful piece of information, but instead would prefer to argue over a fait accompl.
The evidence that it was bookable is staring you full in the face, but instead would prefer to argue in the face of the overwhelming evidence of a screenshot filled with personal details.
Your failed attempts were due to you simply selecting flights that were unavailable at the time of your selecting.
I selected flights that were available. See the difference?
So, let's keep this on-topic. Have you any information of use or are you just leeching?0 -
Jeez ... What have I started here
I think I'm starting to come round to the idea of dealing direct and paying the extra ... It's gonnae hurt though.0 -
Cheap deals don't last long. You have to be on the ball.Direct with whom?
The London flight is an attractive price, though it's a bit early in the morning for a connection from Scotland. EasyJet has a flight that lands at 7.50am, but I'd be nervous of delays at that time of year.
Plus, if you like a drink, you'll be out of luck.

You didn't start anything so don't worry about that

Are you sure there's much difference in price between buying direct and from a 3rd party? Usually the prices are pretty similar. As noted, don't get blinded by the prices advertised on some 3rd party sites. They do not have live access to all prices and sometimes they are out of date. For sure don't trust prices quoted on search engines like Kayak or Momondo. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is.0 -
Someone is still posting gobbledegook.....
Dealing direct with an airline often gets you less restrictive conditions.0 -
I was using a company called the flight centre and was on the phone to them not on the net.
The price difference seems to be around £400
I was looking at Emirates as most people I have asked rate them pretty highly. I've heard if you book with them you can pick your seat and meals before you fly and you have your own private entertainment system. Can't make my mind up about this at all :undecided0
