    Well...what can I say...things are a bit mixed at the moment! I am feeling quite stressed and that seems to be resulting in some absolutely hysterical moments while I forget where my head is!
    That is a bit of an understatement! :rotfl:

    What good things are happening?

    Well it looks like I have a tenant for my house. Yes he's running a scrap metal business, yes he can't prove he's set up a scrap metal business, yes they are also claiming housing benefit (which is only set to go down in the future) BUT my agent has told me to calm down. He is requesting a gaurentaur so hopefully that should cover it.

    Blue dress has been washed and hung up and looks like it doesn't need ironing. I reckon I could be wearing that £35 dress once a week for years!

    Car came back from the service with a £150 bill. Okay there is a long list of potential problems but it only needs to hold together until August. Cmon wee Yaris you can do it!

    The gorgeous weather has given me an opportunity to wax the balcony AND paint the masonry at the back of the house underneath the damp proof course.

    ....and what is going not so well?

    Well my head is just a bit scrambled. Rang the police on Friday to report my handbag stolen from the hallway while I was packing the car to go home. Suddenly realised about an hour later I could ring the blackberry to check whether it was really gone and whether anyone answered...it was under the bed in the recycling bag. Gave the police woman a real laugh :o

    (Incidently...what's with the banks putting you on hold for 20 minutes with the bingy bongy music when you are ringing to report a stolen card!!!)

    Got stopped yesterday morning for speeding. 40 in a 30mph limit. Straight road, sunny day, head in the clouds. They'd even replaced the speed camera signs with MUCH BIGGER ONES. Something I'd noticed about 3 miles back down the road and then promptly forgot. This means;

    • Even with the speed awareness course on FRIDAY (yes this Friday!!!) I am still going to get 3 points
    • Even more worrying I seem to have a fundamental problem with doing 30 in a 30. Something which I should be able to do as a matter of principle.
    Anyone got any good tips...apart from 'Sell the car'!

    If it is a 30 mile zone... street lights, no repeater signs (them little discs on lampposts with numbers on), if you have come from a faster road an you are at a junction, roundabout etc... etc... yawn

    TREAT IT AS IF YOU ARE IN A 30 - put the car in 3rd gear and leave it there. When you automatically want to change up ... mentally check whether you have moved from a 30... if not keep it in 3rd.

    The camera may have just flashed and not had film in. Otherwise, yup, you are on for 3 points :( Er, and more expensive insurance ... sorry

    I'll have to leave it in 2nd, it was in third when I got done.
    ...and there's no doubt it was a 30 and I was away with the fairies. I know that because I remember thinking 'there's a man in the road, oh it's a policeman, I wonder what he's doing there!'
